This pair continues to be strong... the 4 hour chart uptrend remains intact as it bounced off the low 0.8600's... my short order might actually get filled again tonight at 0.8730 again. It's like last night all over again.

hi all!

up and down swings don't change my idea so far, waiting for lower targets at 0,84 - 85 to be touched in the next sessions.

Resistance at 0,87 /8720 topping the pair and limiting the upside, it still makes a lot of sense to try to be short around those levels

On the downside let's watch a test of the 0,8590 support.
In case of break the targets I expect should be reached and consolidation above 0,84 will be expected before considering to go long again

It will go down but not all at once, the market keeps offering opportunities, timing is everything.

Hi Guys

Nice turnaround yesterday. I'm not really up with what happened yesterday but the BoS report states "With regards to the USD, we are still wondering whether the Fed changed the (carry) game around after stating yesterday that it will start scaling back its liquidity facilities. The statement was not well received in equity markets and sparked a safe haven bid in government bonds and compressed swaps".

I thought they had already said this anyway so I'm a little confused and will need to check my news sources. This PA needs a lot of patience that's for sure.

Anyway, report attached for you and thanks shahab8b for that link. I've looked at stuff on their site now and again but it's always good to hear what someone else thinks and I'm gonna take a closer look (especially since you have demo'ed his calls).

Yeah, looks that way. I was going to say one of my charts has given me a buy possibility but I know everyone is short biased in here and I didn't want to be the one to rain on the parade because I actually think it's due a correction anyway. But since you've said it, I'll just post this chart anyway.

PA has managed to get back above my 34 EMA on my other 4 hour chart as well. Let's see if it can hold.

I have been trying to buy into GBP/AUD without much success but today's daily candle looks promising..looks like its going to bounce from support

entered long at .84, will risk 70pips for an open target, this could be big especially if euro and comm dolls take a beating

Just an update on ranges.

Average yearly range for 2000-2008 = 1,543 pips. We've done 2,540 pips so far this year.

Average monthly range for 2009 = 641 pips. We've done 549 pips for September.

Average weekly range for last 17 weeks = 276 pips or 318 pips for the average weekly range for the year. We've done 199 pips this week.

US futures are green at the moment as well. Mixed signals for me.

it so much struggling to take out the 8710 level ,, it has been down this line for 7 hours now trying to take it out ,, never thought it ll struggle that much on this level
by the start of ny session ,, it ll give the direction of the market ,, wether they r interested to take it out or sell off before the weekend ,,, i m staying out of it at the moment ,,, things not clear and i hate trading on fridays anyways

For me, I think your previous statement of "things not clear" is where I am at. Until PA breaks one way or the other, I'm out as well. As you seem to know anyway, Friday PA can whip your ass. Safe trades.

i wanna stay out of it but u know u got this thing inside u that says u might regret this low price and it might be a good long term price ,,, but anyways better to wait as it might go down and offer better price

It's also interesting to note that retail traders at FXCM are now slightly long on the AUD. That should be a warning signal - lol. Remember this is a contrarian signal. I don't trade off this. It just gives me a heads up as to what they are thinking.

Intraday Highlight:

USDJPY - The ratio of long to short positions in the USDJPY stands at 3.24 as nearly 76% of traders are long. Yesterday, the ratio was at 2.68 as 73% of open positions were long. In detail, long positions are 6.1% higher than yesterday and 1.1% weaker since last week. Short positions are 12.2% lower than yesterday and 18.1% weaker since last week. Open interest is 1.1% stronger than yesterday and 2.8% below its monthly average. The SSI is a contrarian indicator and signals more USDJPY losses

Guys,

After fighting this b!tch for so long, I finally dumped her at .8619 and went long just to trade the swing.

I am more than 10000% sure now that I am LONG, this b!tch will go down but its OK. if she keeps going down, I will keep adding more and more longs at every 75 pip difference.

Plan to hedge this by going short in EUR/USD if this moves against me.

If you entered at8619...you're in profit as of now.

Take it IMO unless you can handle it going down. Expect volality in the next few mins due to Consumer Sentiment and New Home Sales data coming out.

Its OK. I think the new housing data will be good due to U$8000 grant.

and even if it goes down, I can handle it as its a small lot. only 1.5$/pip.
