Sept. 24 (Bloomberg) -- German business confidence rose to a 12-month high in September, indicating Europe’s largest economy will gather strength after exiting its worst recession since World War II.

Sept. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Sales of existing U.S. homes unexpectedly fell in August for the first time in four months, signaling the housing recovery will be slow to gain speed.

Sept. 24 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks fell for a second day as sales of existing homes unexpectedly slumped and the Federal Reserve said it will cut the size of two programs meant to bolster credit markets. Oil fell to a one-month low, while Treasuries rose.

a dip down and now back to 1.47. Probably a market reaction.

however if nothing fundamentally changes, we could be back above 1.47

Reserve managers buying EUR/USD dips

No surprise, but reserve managers have been spotted on the bid in the 1.4680 area, traders report.
As noted earlier, if the market remains directional, these guys will likely only slow the decline.
The central bank bids auger well for EUR crosses and will come as music to the ears of EUR/GBP bulls, who’ve moved the cross as high as 0.9156 today. We trade now at 0.9147.
