now if it breaks the LL right after my exit .. then I am dicipine enough to let it be.. but if it goes range for some more time then I take it..

I don't know if this helps anyone, and it comes from a total novice here but anyway...In my world (psychology believe it or not) this activity is known as problem solving. Every problem has structure - what is on the surface is "surface structure" and novices can only see that and look for its rigid 'rules'. Experts see "deep structure" - which does have rules...but they are more complex than the surface can reveal and involve 'feel' which defies simple explanation as it is born from the school of hard knocks. What this thread in all its glory, Feb, Moneda and Fx and all the contributions do is slowly uncover the deep structure - none of which can be put into a slick manual or a single sentence. You have to wrestle with it to get it. Hunting is such a brilliant analogy - time, getting the wind right, reading the tracks right, locking and loading witht he right amunition, calibrating the sights,watching the target get scared away a few times...then BLAM. Subtle blend of PATIENCE - EXPECTANCY and taking the losses on the chin knowing that the wins will compensate for them all. That is an act of trust for a while - but the people who DO IT consistently are the evidence that it works. Can't think of a better game in town anywhere else!

Is it bracket enough 4 u atm? The way I see it I rather exit with a small loss or b/e atm when price is at the bottom of the bracket and get ready for the next move than let price bounce back up and breakout long...from risk management perspective it might save me 10-15 pips depending on how wide the consolidation is. If it break out short ...no problem I jump in the bus again... I would appreciate your perspective...

see guys.. this live trade example was just prefect for learining..

I made the same or maybe about 5pips less than the guy who closeded at the todays low.. of course he must have a crystal ball that told him price would'nt be taking off for another 30 pips of the break of that pussy as today's low..
so i made pretty much the same money.. BUT.. I keept my option open to catch a runner.. and did not let the market to fuck with me.. I know his game... He could not hurt me.. i was ona free ride.. I had'em by the balls i just didn't let go and I got my pips out of him when it was the right time.. so I squezeed the fuck out of him.. lol ya baby... now i go grab that cup of coffee only with some extra money in my pocket..

Thanks for this but we not into predicting. We have set rules we trade by, please feel free to follow those rules and comment on trades made in accordance to those rules. We dont predict where price is going (we dont own those crystal balls) but we do trade what we see.

its not the most ideal... but since we have had couple of failures.. yes, I would take a shot.. but more than likely it will jam up.. and that be a much stronger break on both side..

I'm still holding that position.....

I may have exited a little before, but anyway, I'm gonna give this thing another attempt to see if it can go down....

IF...... it breaks........THEN I go for the runner.
IF...... it doesn't wanna break....... THEN I'll try to exited the lowest I can

This though is from the perspective of being a free trade, so RR is clearly in my favor, if not, I would have played #1 more agressively...

I'm gonna take my chances here...
