I dont have concerns about posting, otherwise as a newbie to this thread I wouldnt have taken the risk to challenge your response. The issue is that others may feel intimidated.

Anyway, points made so lets move on.

At the mo I am still trying to familiarise with the terminology as its different to what I am used to & taking a bit of time reading back to find out what the abbrevs all mean.

Once I understand then I will be happier to post about trade setups in the threads language.

One cannot look a gift horse in the mouth without one taking the gift - even if it is only double pips.

But the REAL gift is knowing whether its a re-test or a blow through to warmer waters

Well, its reached my next target and looks set for the next. Now I really do need a new abacus and hope that I can remember how to do the calculations for the next!

So, she has reached my target and doesn't seem interested in the next.

Has she blown her top? She is putting in a widening triangle with successive OBs.

Is it the end or just merely a pause for profit taking?

Not one for me - the RR is too poor to cover that S Star's stop distance relative to the support lines below - must only be a 1:1 trade. Plus my feed shows a BEEB right into that combined DSRI line and SR level that I have at 91.01ish. Looks like it could be a HL test off that DSRI (not shown on your chart Strat)
Trade less and become more profitable!

My data didn't show a SS yesterday, but today shows a BEEB.

The risk happens to be the same as yesterday (almost to the pip).

So...do I put in an order below the low of the bar and see if I am filled...hmmm...

We broke the immediate DSRI line to the downside.

Today's price tested 91.00 (immediate short term support).

Oh wait...remember that DSRI line that was broken a few days ago...price also tested it today as support instead of resistance as previous.

Price may blow right through, but seems like a few conflicting signs that lead me to stand aside.

Strat...curious to know how you would trade this if you were working off of my data.

Well, you confused the bejabers out of me by replying on my usdchf post and then asking questions on usdjpy - I'm not really talented to do two things at once!

OK with brain now in gear, if I was working off your data, I would read the post above yours (Grimworzel) and then I would ask myself why I didn't think of that!

Hehe...gotta keep you on your toes.
Actually...I timed out when writing the post and must have clicked the wrong quote button. Resolving for the future by using notepad and then copy and paste. I am a detailed engineer during the day and must be losing it at night. Geesh.

I definitely considered the risk, but was wondering about you. You apparently took the shooting star trade even thought the risk was about 1:1.

For anyone who hasnt added TLs this top is at psych level of 50 where weekly has previously resisted in April & also top of weekly descending trendline from Dec 08. Could get v interesting if breached & its not a test bar. However both spinning tops have so far retraced back below TL.

A lot in City appear to think 1:1 parity will happen soon. This therefore could result in the big dogs sweeping up stop losses above TL & moving PA south so they can buy cheaper before moving up next stage.

Looks fraught to me, so I'm out at the mo.

AUDJPY longs again have my interest at this hour as the pair deals with that sizable resistance at 80......the weekly again supports the daily for another ride up, as does the movement in the sister AUDUSD......does all that bear on USDJPY as it retests it's prior sharp TL? Yes, I believe it does. USDJPY, however, gives no official daily signal yet, unless one is bold enough to consider an intraday stall to be a green light. We don't do that here, though - there is plenty of time on this pair.

Because it was an ATM trade or a gift horse trade and I take them when I see them no matter what the R:R is.

I don’t use R:R as is my want BUT I recommend you guys use R:R.

Had I used R:R, it would only have been 70 pips anyway

8 weekly bars have failed to breach this TL. Only on 2/8 did it breach & then dropped back down next day. I believe Orientals are on hols again tomorrow? Maybe an intraday trade for me at pp, but reward to risk not enough for a daily trade at this stage.

However, I am maybe overly-cautious in my early understandings of trading within this thread.

If you start thinking 0.0050 is a psycho number then all you will EVER make is 50 pips (from 0.0000 to 0.0050). Don’t go there.
