I'm gonna closed my short positions from .87714 , tired of waiting ,40 something pips it's well byond than my 10 pips SL, 5 am in US NE.time, better to go to bed

I bet you are pretty right, the charts on 30min/1 Hr/4 Hr/Daily/Weekly/Monthly are all uptrend, but 5min/15min are downtrend, so it's a bit relative on which one you are trading.
By the way ,4Hr/Daily/Weekly charts are all overbought , if you are already long from lower level no reason to close your position untill it breaks one the supports but there is not a good time to go long from current level, besides COT index is extreme (100) so a nice correction down is waiting ,but when it will happen ,who knows,need to have pateince

you mean you went 80% of your balance down? that's a bit scary,
hopefully, everything is overbought (e.g RSI), it means the coulds are there so the rain will come,
but please next time put some SL at max 10-20% of your account ,at least you dont get a heart attack mate,

Use spreadsheets to calculate what you can hold and what you can't.

Good to have an overview of the limitations of your account before entering into a trade.

These days any data is bad for US$.

If the data is good ==> Recovery is well underway, lets buy riskier assets.

If the data is bad ==> US economy is crap, recovery will take years blah blah blah. Lets buy riskier assets.

All in all, unless and until we see another Lehman collapse or another financial crisis, this pair wont go down.

I am too embarrassed to admit that I entered at .8306, .8338, ,8401, .8451, .8554, .8606 and last one at .8663.

Those numbers seem like an eternity now...

Dealers report orders being left by Asian reserve managers to sell EUR/USD, sell AUD/USD, buy USD/CAD as they book profits after a very nice trend in recent sessions. Seems as though they are just saying “enough is enough” for now, and looking to establish a new range.
Traders also report a very large buy order has been executed by a US money center bank in USD/JPY for upwards of 3 yards of dollars. That same bank put out a sell recommendation on EUR/USD this morning as well. The BIS was spotted buying USD/JPY at the 90.60 level earlier in the session, we are told.
Also getting lots of buzz this morning is talk the UK’s Vodafone may sell its stake in Verizon Wireless, resulting in a huge sterling positive flow.
All this adds up to a day of backing and filling after very nice trends. A healthy thing for the market, setting up some opportunity for scalpers, many of whom have been trampled the last 10 days.

Whats worse? you doing that or, I carried longs from .95xx of late 2007-2008 and just averaged in one week ago.

Thanks jacobofx, but not looking for bragging rights. I guess just wanted to say I have been there in that boat and have experienced that feeling of sweating bullets. Hang tough and look smartly for those places to try averaging in the position. go with the stop at this point so that if it is not the right place to do so, you don't take more damage. and when the time is right, it will all start coming together for you. (Yes, the roll over was nice though)
