From the local police blotter:
A man from the 13000 block of Gracie Road reported a bear had gotten into his daughter's chicken coop the last two nights. It was gone, but he was concerned it would return. He said California Fish and Game would not respond unless the bear was on his property, and he was going to sit in his vehicle and wait for the bear to return. He was planning to use a flashlight to scare it off. He was advised not to wait for the bear and to stay indoors. He said the deputy didn't know his daughter in regard to the importance of her chicken coops, and said he was 94 years old and “if a bear decided to retire him, then so be it.” He said he would call back if the bear showed up.

just gotta love newsletters....that Willliam guy called a drop in equities right at the bottom as expected...

good thing tho I did load up on my longs back then.....S&P up 71 points or 7%, Dow up almost 600 points since his call and still going strong....

Very nice contrarian indicator...all we need now is for that guy to call "buy on top" and we're set to sell....lol....

C'mon BWR, you know that unemployment is the worst indicator for economies because it lags too much (it's ironic that NFP gets the most trading action). I look at the Conference Board Leading Economic Indicators and they have been mostly up. The lagging indicators are not. So you know it's all about looking ahead. Nevertheless, I am also surprised at how quick the run-up has been - happy, but surprised. In fact, I even took a little equities profit today.

Hey, they say Trillion is the new Billion so I guess jobless recoveries are the new Recovery.

Bovespa vaporized the 60,000 level yesterday... And going up today already.... Dow 10k coming??

Vaporized is the word, mate. If the Dow breaches 10,000, which it probably will, then for a few days it will be like walking on air. Literally.

Just make sure you pack a giant Mary Poppins style umberalla, because something real, like a parachute, won't work. Just my usual, humble, opinion.
