puks, without selling your house, cars, blakets and pillows will you have enough funds until 8800? secondly will you have enough fund to hedge at 8800? if it gets there ...

Thanks Fammira. I'd go by your experience and hope that I get out of this trade atleast at BE. for B/E, I would need this to go at .8450 but I am prepared to get out at .8500

Out of curiosity, how many times in your trading experience you have experienced such a swing and irrationality?

I can survive till .8800 but I wouldn't be able to hedge there without adding extra funds.

BTW, I get confused reading about lots and soldiers size. would you mind telling me what a "lot" and "soldier" size is?

my soldier size is 25K and I have 6 of them out. total 150K

The market is currently against me by apprx 3 cents so you can calculate the current loss I am carrying.

Please advise me if this is "normal" or "out of whack" in this market.

I also have a draw down in au and nu that is not allowing me to enter any other trade

The biggest issue here would be that $15 pip, the moment you break even reduce that to say $5 pip but don't close entirely, this stress deserves some reward

I hope to reduce mine for 100 pip profit at 1.8460

and maybe leave open a stress free trade which i could stand or even add to at .90 with a .80 target

Thanks but do you think I would get breakeven before going belly up? I can only sustain say another 80-90 pips against me and that would be the death of me in forex...

I am not one to give advise since i am in a similar situation but maybe you could see what happens in ny session and take some pain on half your position especially if it goes back below .87

That would increase your margin. After that i would put a far away target profit like .82 and take a break for a week or two and see what happens

but i could be totally wrong

dont worry puks, you'll be alright ... just be patient ... and if you cant handle it just take SL ... and have a tight sleep ...

you remind me of me 2 years ago ...

i used to had a dream of my trading platform ... jump out of the bed with half a sleep in the middle of the night to check the rates ...

you just need to make sure you learn something everytime you make a mistake ...

Long or short?

Feel free to add wherever you want, the main issue would be your additions relative to account size

Don't get yourself into puks ^ predicament when you can have a profitable stress free trade with your existing position.
