Welcome, please read the first 10 pages...Most all questions can be answered there... We do not trade any one time frame in particular...

Hi Amilia,,

Nice that you have joined us.

We have a very clear and easy system that we use here and it involves trading with the current trend.

I will try to quickly answer your 3 points but I also encourage you to read the first 10 pages of this thread that explain this in much better detail.

We always check long time frames (Daily, 4r, 1hr) to make sure that they are showing the same trend - all below kumo (cloud) means bearish (down) or all above kumo (cloud) is bullish (up).

Then we watch the smaller time frames, 5min and 15min to see when they have retraced back towards the kumo (cloud) before continuing on with the trend. The entry point is normally when the TS (tenkan sen) crosses the KS (kijun sen) in the direction of the trend on the higher time frames.

Once this happens it is a signal to enter a buy or sell.

I suggest that you spend time watching what we do in this thread and then follow some of the live trades that we post this will be best to help you understand how we work. Also, in the link at the bottom of my reply message that says "report archive" you can look at trade suggestions in here. This is where we take screen shots of the charts that we have traded and explain entry points and exit points and all the relevant information to produce a successful trade.

Regarding 1.
This is difficult to say because the market always changes. Some days there can be 10 entry points in a large strong trend. Other days there may be no entry point at all because the market is range trading sideways.

Regarding 2.
Normally we see the best trade opportunities in Asian and NY sessions. This does not mean that you can never make money in London, it is very possible however it is just more difficult as the market does not seem to trend as strongly during the London session.

Hopefully this has helped you a little bit, please feel free to visit regularly as we do post some trade suggestions regularly and last week made over 465pips.

Please find the daily report for the USD JPY , pull back is happening now as expected in the weekly report , will be awaiting for signs of rejection from the 91.5X area and will go short again

Hello Everyone,

I too am new to this thread and I have been going over the posts and I am up to about page 50. I like what I have found here and I am going to keep digging here until I can become a warrior. It looks like a great methodology. I just wanted to post to introduce myself, as I have no questions at this point. I appreciate what Vic and everyone here has contributed and I want to say thanks. Also, I had been feeling like I was a cowardly lurker, so now that I've posted I feel better.

I need to make some final changes to the alerts but I've set it up how I like it, which might not be for you
I get an alert whenever there is a TS:KS cross and the higher timeframes agree with the cross. That does not mean BUY/SELL, it is merely an indication for me to have a look at a chart.

The Daily trend is neutral, the 4hr trend is UP.
Not too sure about a short on the 1hr though I see your reasoning...a bounce off the kumo.

Greetings All,

What a fantastic thread and warm welcome Ichimoku is to our trading! Thank-you Vic and to all of you who make this thread really rock!

Today we have 2 big steps forward in the evolution of Ichimoku Forever, 1st is the trading room that Drwasho set up, and now 2nd is the Sound Alert room that I have put together.

How it works:

 

  1. for chit chat and live q & a with the gang Ichimoku Chat

  1. for sound alerts when a trade setup is approaching Warrior Alerts


The functionality for the sounds alerts works fine for our method. All we need is a real-time sound and then the basic details. Charts and more info can be posted in the thread here. Chatzy is great and has sound alerts but the problem is that you can't choose just dialog sound alerts, the sound goes off everytime someone enters the room. For the room I setup, only the admin's can post and they can ring the bell when they want to make an alert.

Each person who wants to be an admin and post live alerts (following Vic's style only), send me a pm and I will give you the instructions so that you can have admin status. I know that there are already warriors assigned to the various pairs so now you can give a live alert if you want to.

This has been a dream of mine for about a year now to have a group of likeminded traders working together sharing the results of the analysis. We can only each do so much research per day, imagine 20 traders updating in real-time ichimoku trade setups across a variety of markets. WOW

This can give us the opportunity to spend less time glued to the screen, we get up to make a quick sandwich and come back and missed the trade...

Together we do great things!!!! The room I made will always be free and it updates in real-time from what I can tell. The only thing is that it doesn't give a time signal of when the info is posted so admins can just write in the time manually. We can all agree on NY time or GMT or something, I vote for NY time, it's easy.

The alerts are not trade calls, they are saying: Hey! There might be a great setup according to our methodology in a few minutes, take a closer look…
