i have just look through your analysis for this week, i want to ask which time frame the trade(s) will be triggered.

Hey!
Welcome aboard. If you are asking me in regards to the euro-I will be taking a signal off of the 5m once the market kicks in and determines our direction. The smaller timeframes show consolidation or mixed signals as we are ina nd under the kumo. I think we will have some clarity in the later part of Asian session.

For what I now know I start my trading day checking if day chart price is perfect for entry; If so and I can stomach the large stoploss required, enter. However, I will likely never enter any TF larger than 4h.

So next check the 4h for entry if perfect signal setup, or continue on to 1h but only if 4h is out of the cloud in same direction as day chart.

Continue checking each TF in same way as above, stopping to enter at the next lower TF that sets up a perfect signal that agrees with the 1h and higher cloud.

This is how we trade.

Question I still have is: if the 30m is not a perfect signal but on correct side of cloud of 1h and higher, can I enter a 15m or 5m perfect signal while awating the 30m to perfect itself? Or should I stop at the 30m chart watching for it to be a perfect signal first and then consider the 15m and when it is a perfect signal I can finally watch the 5m for a perfect signal?

This would be worth it's weight in gold!! lol

This and the dollar index would really help us with aud/usd.

I may check different brokers to see if they have the dollar. It's about time I got a new demo anyway.

Hi
In lieu of straight USD chart, check out Monthly AUD-USD
Shows probable strong resistance beginning at 8743 (see candles back in Jan 08.) Hit high of 9849 in July 08.

We've cleared 61.8% fib on 3 dailies. Could see run to low 8720's without much trouble. Dollar seems to be in much worse shape now than in 08.
Also Commodity countries have some leverage here.

Hi All,

G/Y report attached.

GBP is grossly over bought against the USD at the moment along with a couple of other pairs namely E/U, U/CHF (over sold - inverse relationship).

Looking for a continuation in USD weakness with an air of caution for any short term retracements given the size and gravity of USD weakness last week.

Good luck and buckle up for another ride.

How do you measure your over-boughtness or oversold? Just based on price action over past weeks/months or are you using stochs and/or bollingers to guide?

I used an IBfx 4dgt mini for the test. It's start of day uses 00:00 Gmt.

I also since I posted the first time tested it on the FXPRO 5dgt platform -
it had bad results also.

I am -7 GMT Pacifc DST and its 4:34 pm(23:34 GMT) and FXPRO market time says 02:34 - So I'm not the best with this timezone stuff.

Hi fxScavenger, I think your broker uses different timezone so I will try and provide a fresh version for you to test in the next couple of days.

In the meantime can you run one last test from 2009/04/01 - 2009/07/30 and see if you get similar results to above, this will confirm or deny for sure your TZ.
