Why not use an indicator someone posted before. Just type in your template name in Line 1 ans save the template.

Hey ForexSaint. Thanks, I knew about this one though... What I really wanted was a way for a shortcut, or a script that did it.... Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

Only found those buttons up the top on the Periodicity Bar. Do right click on another set of buttons up the top to set what bars you want. 1 of them is Periodicity - really is called that, I didnt make it up.

Alt-C P H to get H1 timeframe, etc, i.e. via dropdown menus. If you want less keystrokes than that, you need a third party product like Autohotkey. A script can't do it.

ALT + thingy is also ok.....but there are no sepereate keys for m1, m5, m15, m30 and likely for h1 and h4...so not a viable Solution!
i feel periodicity bar and a single click

Else Try some software which Click a set speciic Set pixel location on scrren and set various hotkeys to it to various periods on the periodicity toolbar
Thats all!

May be Autohotkey which hanover says does that only!

Use Alt-C P 1 for M1, Alt-C P 5 for M5, Alt-C P 3 for M30.

Does anyone know what the maximum indicators you can have in the MT4 indi folder before you will not be able to view all those indicators in it's navigation window?

Or is there a way to make or force MT4 to display an unlimited number indicators?

I currently have 74, and it's apparently no problem. If there is an upper limit, it will be a restriction imposed by the way MT4 has been programmed. You'd need to contact MetaQuotes to have it changed.

does this happen to anyone else? i have been using MT4 for 6 months. switching timeframes (using the M1..M5..M15.. etc buttons at the top) causes all drawn objects to disappear, every time. this doesn't seem normal to me.

When you draw objects. lines, fibs etc. Go into properties by right clicking the object, then in the visualization tab make sure Show on all timeframes box is ticked, then Ok it.

That should work.

thanks, but 'Show on all timeframes' is already checked. I've tried a couple of different downloads of the program, on 2 different computers, and switching between timeframes always loses my drawings. if anyone else has any advice, or if i can help troubleshoot, please lmk. thanks

Have a look at the objects configuration folder maybe that is "read only" in the properties attributes. Check to see if both boxes are unticked.

Metatrader > config > objects

Anyone else have any ideas ?
