I tried again and now cannot even get MetaTrader to run without crashing immediately. When I have more time, I'll download MetaTrader all over again after making a backup of my indicators. I am now using TradeStation (they are running a promotion and giving the platform for free for the last four months of the year) and would like to put TRIX v6.1 up in TradeStation. Has anyone written a TRIX for TradeStation?

I know about that problem (the trix levels) and already fixed the Trix but still don't want to post it as I want to edit other stuff.

For the divergence TLs, just switch them off, you don't need them.

BTW: the the divergence TLs are fixed as well in the new to be released version

The FFcal caused problems in the past because the FF news server changed.

Try to delete it in your MT4 folder and replace it with the new one, that might do the job.

Trix for Tradestation? no idea, sorry.

For those of you who are using Andrew's Median Lines (Pitchfork) for higher TF analysis, take a look here for an Andrew's Median Line MT4 indicator that I completed. It supports Schiff, Modified Schiff, Catalin, inner lines, warning lines, reaction lines and sliding parallels.

I have spent the last few days reading most of this thread. It's been very interesting seeing the transition from V1 throught to V3 ... and V4 on the horizon.

I'm now simulating all this and trading on a demo account. Just a quick question ... I'm in New Zealand (GMT + 12) ie My waking hours are last 2 hours of NY through to first 2 hrs of London. Basically, I am in the Asian session most of the day ... very hard to trade ... (low volume).

Posts in this thread indicate the cross-over of London-US is most suited to THV ... when I'm asleep

Is anyone having any success in the Asian session (with thv)?

Just a little about me ...

I've started writing EAs and finding it loads of fun (especially calls to OS dlls) ... there's a definite sense of satisfaction when you write software that benefits yourself.

I'm currently making a career change and wish to work from home more ... for years, I've been away for weeks at a time working at factories (software engineering automation systems). I'm hoping that Forex trading will give me a better balance between work and home life ... trading during the night will be counter-productive to this ideal (but better than being away from my family).

Let me talk with the folks in London if they can start some hours earlier

Joke beside, try the EUR/JPY during the Asian session, that's what I trade if I trade in that time.

Don't give up your job until you're sure that you can beat the market and that trading is your liking. Trading is a hard, risky and lonely job that makes you fat (almost no moves others that having a coffee) but I wouldn't like to miss it a single trading day.

Have a great session (or sleep, I start to trade soon)

And broken out it did; just a scalp trade so far. The current pattern is still in the process of resolution. Larger intraday corrective down move or continuation to the north; don't know yet, but we'll know soon enough. Take care.

I second the part on trading being a very lonely job. The hard part can be overcome eventually once getting over the learning curve but the part about lonely took me a lot longer to get use to though ..... and it affected me a lot as I am a very sociable person. To me that was the most difficult part to becoming a full time trader at home.

I would add that boredom can also be killer sometimes - so easy to take a B or C class trade just to ease the boredom.

EU M15: I am wondering if this increased volume at the last highs is an indication of closing longs and opening shorts. Weekly R3 and Monthly R2 are at the same level of 1.4601, and it would not be out-of-hand for the price to be run up to there before they stop supporting it.

Saw your post and remembered that I did not reply you on this one. I would recommend just leaving two past most obvious trend lines that were recently breached on the charts. It is not so much as to how far to look back.

Amazing how trend lines are respected ... here's my 4 hr. I took the trade short (on thv signal) and exited at the trend line.

Hi Stratman,

Just want to make sure you are aware that your trade was counter trend and against a strong uptrend. Always advisable to go with the trend than against.

Personally, I would not take this trade. It is not a high probability trade to me. But good catch.

The blue lines show divergence at abot 10:00 GMT, also retest of a historical S&R TL, was a good bet.

Also bounce back from MR2 (and psych level 1.4600) at overbought condition was easy to trigger, same thing with bounce from MS1 (and psych level 1.4500) with another restest of the TL.

Atually another short triggered but with London lose my trading room is also closed.

The market was good to us today.
