DislikedHere's another example. There was a gap on the Weekly USDX chart in April 2006. It took until March 2009 to fill it. Nearly three years later. So don't rely on a gap being filled all the time. Some people don't even believe in them but I have successfully played gaps a lot. As they say, there's no sure thing in forex.

yes I speak chinese and I have been living and working here for almost four years
I have been busy with my job in the last two weeks, so did not watch tv or read any newspaper, but the action you are talking about does not sound like something that really can happen here
central bank moves the market, and even if people are pushed or invited by media or government, I still see Beijing as the one and only real controller of the prices
I will try to look for some more reliable source for your interest
Maybe this wholesale advertising of Gold is something that is in the pipeline. I read a lot of stuff saying the Chinese were stockpiling raw materials and crude etc and now they have set a limit on the export of precious raw materials from their country which will likely drive price up in the global marketplace. And their trade agreements with some countries in Yuan. And all that talk about the new Reserve Currency etc.
It will be interesting to see when Gold breaks $1,000 whether it can stay above it. I don't think there is any "if" it breaks $1,000.

Oh, look at me preaching to the gap player - ha, ha. Sorry. You like gaps too do you? Some people aren't familiar with them. I'm not sure at what stage in my trading life I became aware of the gap play.
Sort of boring day all up. If they wanted to mash the US$, today would have been the day. Oh, well.

I suspect we are about to see some consolidation in the AUD/USD. My reasoning being 85 is such a strong psych level and we are currently sitting on Daily R1/Monthly R1. The 85 level certainly needs a confirming re-test for me to be satisfied. Later today London session should start to tell the story and I am remaining flat at the moment. In addition, the modest follow-through occurred on AUD/JPY which has hit its 50 fib, GOLD remains unchanged from last Friday's close.

stochastic printed lower indicate weakness on its way, the box"C" or price compression at the top its exhibit temporary agreement on price. when disagreement accurs the price will expand aka break out , i'll watch closely
