Over 7 months observing forex by tih strategy i realized we can create EA for this strategy How? I'll show the system, but need some coder's help for making EA.. Ok here we go..
System consist 3 part - Entry rules, Exit rules and Risk managment.
For entry rules I prefer using H4 -0.0045 and 0.0045 levels. Example for Buy condition

When price cross down -0.0045 EA cheking for buy stop. For this moment it wait for formation of local max on H1(or formation of fractal) after that EA put the buy stop to above of the fractal bar(spread + 1...

Ok 1st of all Fractal repaints.

If you really following this system for 7 months you should know that it can't be written in an EA.

The rules you stated have nothing to do with this strategy.

But if you think this could be a profitable system checkout programing discussion area.

All the best.

You can't program an EA simply because there are no rules. Everybody here tries to pick good entries based on his experience or other indicators.

Hi,

Shorted the EURUSD 1hr CHT for a quick 20 pips based on Phillip's 1hr TC suggestion.

Entered at the bar where the arrow is and the SL is at the arrow.

Hi all,

Although I am not trading today as the NFP's coming out, I just took a look at the charts and realize something.

Looking at the GBPJPY, according to Phillip's rules, he says that if the price breaks through the 21 MA, it will come back to the 21 MA and test it and then move toward the 89 MA. That's what I am seeing, someone please correct me if I am wrong.

I would have long at the opening of the 4hr bar at the arrow and the SL would have been placed at the arrow.

By now it would have been a free trade by closing 50% of the position. The finial profit target will be at the 89 MA below the trendline.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks again for all your replies.

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

looking back at the 4H chart on the GBPJPY I think it is more conservative to change Phillip's rule like this: once price breaks through the 21 it goes back to it and retest the 55EMA (sionsmith's new trendline..). I think you would get more positive trades (for example the 18th of august..) and the breakthrough shouldn't be shy...
Cheers

You are absolutely right. GJ has crossed the 21 EMA and pulled back to it. It is highly likely now that it will continue to the 89. However GJ is very difficult to trade and I would urge anyone wanting to trade GJ to trade it on demo first. It whipsaws a lot and this system was not designed with that pair in mind.

I want to commend you on your learning. It is clear that you have been working hard on understanding the system and you understand the price action.

Also, the BOE rate decision is on Thursday so there may be some erratic behaviour on the GBP pairs as well this week.

My macd indicator is kinda messed up.
http://i29.tinypic.com/qot0n6.png

Look at those level lines are so close to each other. I think it's because my server price is 6 digits. Everytime I have to change the levels 15,30,45 in to150,300,450. What server are you guys using, which doesn't have this problem and is gmt2. thanks.

Hi Goldiger,

This post may be of some help. http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost...ostcount=19816
Most people use MIG. I think that using the colored macd on the standard template for the 4 hr chart may solve your problem.

Thanks buddy, but there is no "VT, RB, RT, etc" stuff. I'm thinking of using another mt4 server. Do you have the ip server of MIG?
