In a free trade now on GJ - sold half at +19 and moved to BE-will explain more of reasoning when trade is done.

I closed the second half at +43, price seemed to be struggling at the 149.50 level....but of course as soon as I closed my position the beast promptly blew right past it! Any comments or criticisms are welcome...

Well Played DS! Don't feel bad, I took a long in the room during London session, on the "Beast" (GBPJPY) at London open, UJ started to pullback, and I got out with 23 pips. If I would have been patient, my B/E would not have hit, and it continued to carry another 50 pips from where I cleared. Just always remember to be happy with profit. 43 pips is a good ride!

"The Force is strong in this one...." LOL! The "teachings of FX Dad" LOL... That was AWEOME! That cracked me up! Thanks for the compliment! I'll try and get in the room for Tokyo tomorrow.... will let you know.

Seriously I hope all is well with your family...Just so you know Martin was having PC trouble last night, logged out then back in and lost his mic in the room. I did manage to pick up a nugget or two of wisdom before that happened though. I managed to pull 20 pips on a half size trade out of the EJ and BE'd on EU. Positive night all in all. See you later.

I took a poorly planned trade pre-Tokyo and got out with a medium sized loss. My gut told me to get out when I had the chance at -8 pips but I did not. I do not trust my instincts quite yet. Headed to the gym so no more trading this evening unless a real beaut sets up.

Hey DS,

Looks like the trade finally turned and would have moved about 50 pips in your favor. I would have taken a loss too. That PA started off ugly. PA was ugly during the London Session too. Not a lot of action because everyone is waiting on NFP tomorrow. I'm probably done for the week, trade wise. Levels are forming, but I don't know how much of a move they will provide. When the GBPJPY is trading in less than a 100 pip range for session..... looking at midway through London and all of NY..... you can tell that traders are holding back. Trichet speaks tomorrow, G20 begins, NFP, CAD Employment numbers.... all in one day. Too much happening. Maybe a day to scalp but no more than that. Wouldn't want to hold anything long term through tomorrow or over the weekend.

If we don't get a chance to chat, have a great weekend!

I am new to this thread, but have been following your calls for the past couple weeks. I was wondering if you set specific SL and TP or have any general guidelines for SL and TP on the set ups you post.
