ok here we go. someone wake ghous up cause hes gonna like this.
i have a lot of things that interest me.
most make money. not all but most.
i have been a reptile nut all my life.
i work with pythons and these are ball pythons.
i have worked for years to produce rare snakes.
some people that lead this research make millions but its all consuming for them. its just a fun hobby for me and my son and its going to easily put him thru college.
the white snakes are a 3 year project for me and my son. they are not as super rare as they were a couple of years ago but i think i could easily say there are less than 1 or 2 thousand of them in the world. just a guess and could be less.
the others are mojaves and lessers. breeding a lesser and a mojave together gives you a 1 in 4 chance (or is it 8) to produce a white snake.
you have to raise the female to around 3 years of age before she will breed and the average clutch size is 4 to 6 eggs.
as you can see its no guaruntee. i beat the odds on this clutch with two white snakes.
the other picture is of 5 lesser hatchlings. they are very much in demand and should easily bring 7 hundred to 1000 each depending on sex.
i have a clutch set to hatch in october that could be REALLY COOL.
just more proof that im clearly out of my mind.
