Hi,

We are all a little hesitant trading the London session. Because the technique that Vic pioneered here works best in a trending market the Asian and NY session (after the first hour or so to settle down) are the main times we're all looking for the right signal.

Especially lately with the thin volume due to the northern hemisphere summer holidays London just seems manic.

That being said if there is a really solid trade setup people will normally post them here anyway.

We all trade Eur/Yen here as it maximises the size of daily trend movements without the sheer volatility of the Gbp/Yen.

We normally also watch G/T, E/U and G/U but rarely seem to trade them. E/Y normally provides plenty of daily movement to take your 50+ pips.

Don't think so, both the daily and the 4H are not giving long signals... my mistake a few posts back was to trade without paying attention to the other TFs (time frames for n00bz like me).

Great points 4xAddict. Unless you are a pro scalping G/J can be extremely difficult due to spread size alone (not to even consider the volatility yet) so she only safe in Ichi type dynamic systems on higher TF with wide SL. E/J give good ranging movements just like G/J at maybe only 25% diminished capacity in terms of range on good days and less than half the spread. My favourite Ichi pairs are E/J and A/J. We all know the biggest drawdown period for traders is when they caught in the middle of a trend change day/week/month. So I like to keep those periods limited to E/J then when trend is confirmed A/J does much better job of riding the trend.

Also you not pay attention to Chikou span. Do not trade if Chikou span inside price range!
Hi guys I am home now with my proper charts.

We can see Ichi prevent us from trading cable before the news, we have flat top kumo and price inside kumo. When kumo flat top/bottom mean volatility low, kumo (specifically senkou B) acts like pivot point and attracts price towards it.

Thanks Ichi for saving our capital for another day!

I also include JMA50 on my chart (light blue line) but you can ignore that, only trying to test how effective JMA50 is vs kijun-sen. You can see kijun-sen much more effective as acting S/R.

I hear you on the A/J, I also trade it as well once things are moving.

It can really motor when it starts going. Pip value isn't quite as high but hey it's still cash in the bank right?

if you are asking about the way the signal look then i tell you it's perfect , but if you are asking if any one can take this deal i tell you an advise have a rest on Friday enough working and leave the Friday to the evil hedge fund devils they can wipe you out in a min with no valid reason , just relax and enjoy the show

Hi,

In the end it is really up to you.

I see everything lining up for an entry and 4hr red line is turning up (weaker signal but still a small confirmation).

Myself, I am waiting to a small retracement on the 5min to jump in. The psychologically important whole number 135.00 is close and regardless of trend there are normally orders clustered around these levels. There is normally a little consolidation before things go flying through to the next level of resistance.

When I go in I am aiming for 50 pips so I look to make sure there is as few obstacles to reaching that price as possible.

Also kumo on the 1min has a flat bottom which will assist in a temp pull back.

That's my logic anyway, best of luck for when you choose to get in. the one thing you quickly learn here is not to try and be too scientific about entry points at a specific value. As long as all the indicators say go then jump in on the next movement in your direction on the smaller time frames.

Make sure your stop loss is firmly placed on the down side of the kumo and then pin back your ears while it soars.

Take heed though of Vic's advice about Friday's, evil being walk the forex market on Fridays and we are also going into month end this weekend so be very careful. There are often massive transactions before week/month ends with large institutions and traders needing to settle up their books.

This can make things fly in the *wrong* direction.

I live in Aus so profits in USD is alllll good I keep most my yen and usd pips unconverted to aus as a free hedge against aud

Hi guys, I was not supposed to trade tonight but Ichimoku is just so giving could not resist myself. Here is the Ichimoku M1 scalp (at least 1 variety). During an uptrend (i.e. tall Chikou span) the price must take rest before it continues North. In this sense, short is as reliable as a long if you are quick! When the price exceeds the Chikou span it will usually want to take a quick rest. We watch for breakdown at that level and on retrace we place a short with tight SL (in my case -10 the minimum my broker allows for this pair, can -5 for E/U) and TP at the Senkou A or B (since we are not sure how powerful the move will be I only pick A but it go to B in this case). In this case since I was a bit late my order only got at 134.91 but you can see where she retrace. (red arrow + first blue dot)

We watch on M1 since we are shorting against the trend we need to be nimble. Blue dots/red-lines indicate micro-ranges, if the price reverse into a previous range then we exit the scalp because it will reverse. If it breaks down into a new range we make a new dot etc until TP. So I take +8 pips but could do better as you can see if got a better short in and better exit at senkou B.

If she exhbits buying at senkou A or B then we can take a long scalp and leave stop at BE if she carries it...and let her run hopefully

EDIT: Sorry I did not show the trade in real time because short against the trend have to monitor the situation until exit. But during a trend this will happen a hundred times a day.

If you thought is overshot the chikou span check out the attached on the GY. I was in on the up side however got out around 153.40.

Will be keeping an eye out for this one. Tell me does it also work in reverse for downward trends?

Looks like she go to +20 and beyond! But she break a blue dot on the way so I probably exit too early.

Whenever she exert herself up or down she must take a rest the other way if she want to continue, otherwise market is straight line. If you look at the same trade on M5 you can see she close just above her exertion and then open at same zone and sell off hard. You can also look at the recent H4 downmove I posted above for GBPJPY. She exceed herself even on H4 and now she must reverse a proportional amount.

Ichimoku system just try to indicate what equilibrium is and current position in relation to that. If we feel safe betting with the trend (e.g. long or short) then we should feel just as safe betting on a return to equilibrium if it is to continue (opposite trade). This also gives us a good opportunity to get into the trend if we make +10 pips and enter the next time she cross up on M1 with -10 SL we in it for free. I was impatient tonight but this trade could have done +20 and another +20 on reversal in <1 H

Remember cloud is thin so we can not rely too much on anything treat even EURJPY like it was GBPJPY, take your pips and run if you are not taking a strict Ichi signal! i.e. All conditions satisified.

Hi, I see good opportunity in Eur/Usd 5M as of 7.10am eastern time.
All condition for Ichi is fulfilled. tenken crosses kijun on 4H,
However as i speak, the span is falling into the prices.
