DislikedWhen you 30X20 what does that mean on the settings. There is only a 4 minute chart on MT4,could not find a 5 min chart,where does the 2X go,MM says MOney Management doesnt say true or false, risk says 260 not 5%. I see the 200 stop loss. I know it is too much to ask but if you posted a screenshot of the input tab on MT4 it would sure be helpful especially how to juice up the risk a tad would be helpful too. Sorry I am kind of a newbie to the EA's but I am learning fast.

My question is this, who in their right mind would let their account go 8000 in the hole????? I have never done that and I have tested hundreds of systems, even bad ones. In fact, when I post these EAs they are set at .01 or .02 which means you let it go 4-800,000 pips in the hole. I dont think that is even possible. If you traded .10 you would need to go 80,000 pips in the hole. Personally I liked to know how you did that because I dont even think that is even possible. Please enlightened us how you probably set the world's record for the worst...

Well you have given us so little information, other than you have taken a loss, it is hard to say. Since you have modified the program, I am not sure what you have done. When you say you have modified it, do you mean you changed it from a 4D to a 5D or did you modify the program to run differently than what it was posted to do. Which EA are you running? We dont know. I recommend testing on a demo the amount of money you would use live. For example if you only use 500 dollars live you should demo 500 dollars. If you can use 100,000 live then you...

Page 62 post 920 have the latest versions of the buy or sell only EA. They are different from the ones posted here which buy and sell both directions at the same time.
For those who have brokers that use 5 digits p.64 post 946 has an adjusted EA to experiment with.
After reading much of the thread, I went to page 50 and got the revision based on the 1H chart. I thought this would be a good place to start. When I said I modified it from 4D to 5D, I meant I modified the EA variables from the 4 digit decimal live system to work on the 5 decimal demo system. All I did was go through the code and add zero's to the variables I saw were being used: i.e these went from:
extern int TakeProfit = 15;
extern int StopLoss = 150;
to:
extern int TakeProfit = 150;
extern int StopLoss = 1500;
These aren't all, but just to give you an idea.
I assumed the major revision was the EA to start with. This is the one I have been running on the demo system.
I didnt modify:
extern double Lots = 0.10; // We start with this lots number
extern double multiply= 1.8;
as I was using it on the demo system. I clearly understand risk and MM, and would never trade that live with a system I had just loaded. I just assumed people would understand that I had modified it to work on the demo system, and therefore would understand my post asking for some other results. If you didn't read my previous posts, I can understand why you would think it was a real loss.
What happened, and this is why I posted (above) my account photo, was that the system entered 5 trades. The multiplier making the last trade 1.04 lots. What happened was that when the 1st trade hit the SL it closed out the remaining 4 leading to the loss.
Hopefully that clears it all up ? I have been trading with FXCM for 2 years and this is my first time using MT4, hence all the questions. I cant seem to send a message to nanningbob else I would have kept my noob questions private.
Now back to my actual question regarding the loss. Does the EA close out all the positions when the first SL is hit? If yes, then thanks, if no, then I obviously modified a variable incorrectly.
And of course, if you don't really use the 1H EA, then please let me know.

I really dont know what happened but here is the pic for the day. It should have gone 3 levels deep and then retraced for profit. Make sure you are not using a 4D version on a 5D screen. I cant load up pics right now at FF I will try to post it later. Ok got it to go, here is the pic.
I'm going to download and try the 5 min EA this week.
