Dislikedthere is an edge fading news spikes...I use bollinger band with 3 stdev and price levels... though occasionally you'll have ur ass handed over to you.This is the time brokers are most malevolent and will try all tricks in the books to skin you.Ignored

All the usual reasons, you know, slippage, requotes, spread and so on have reduced the chances of effective automatic news trading but I do study past news releases and the longer term effect of them. The resources to do that are right here on Forex Factory. Obviously, if a news release is anticipated, then the price tends to stall an hor or two before the release. A perfect example of this is Gbp/Usd and the various 9:30am (UK time) releases. It will pay you to study the history of these and if the news is poor, and the pair is stalling in a down...
