I saw the swings in EURUSD and cable from a distance today .... glad I was not there...

Well - I had a good week, at work, in forex, got a tennant for my flat...next week should be a bit more laidback true Mother City style.

btw Cesar the stock markets is really a conundrum for me now...was with you for a at least 10% retrace......technically she should steam ahead? RSI on weekly is screaming towards 70?

We have a local competition here were you put a few bucks down and then you trade futures for a month and the winner gets R 1 000 000 which equals $ 125 000, but I have not been in the market for so long...will see

It all comes down to risk:reward at these levels, which is poor to the upside. Specially with big resistances expected around there.

But players are not in a rush to take profits from the 45% run since March. You never know if it could be more and if this is it, they have the luxury of letting some profit go and pocket some 30-30% profit and still go home happy.

There is no such thing as going up forever. There will be a correction eventually. And then it will be time for another buy and forget.

In time, I'm not trading short term in the stock market. My last trades lasted from 5 to 7 months LOL... I can give it say 2 months out to get back in a nice price to hold for another handful of months...

It sooooo keeps the vice away from your head...

Stocks could surf higher on a wave of late summer momentum in the week ahead though volume should be extremely light.

With earnings season over, there is a series of economic data focused on housing, consumer sentiment and manufacturing in the coming week. Also of high interest will be the weekly jobless claims report Thursday, after the last two reports showed larger-than-expected numbers of new unemployment claims.
