DislikedEdge,
I've done the math on the "draw down issue" and "high hit rate compensating factor" from a theoretical mathematical basis. With Nitro, and the hours and hours of testing I've done, I can't seem to get away from a 20 pip SL or greater without having a large impact on the "high hit rate" (i.e. smaller stops decrease win percentage dramatically).
So with 5 pip TP and 20 pip SL, the threshold for the "high hit rate" is around 85% winners. If you can get to 90% it is a slam dunk system.
I can't get over 75% no matter what I do. Can...Ignored
Last we heard, you had 7-8 consecutive positive trading days. In addition, your postings mention your losses coming mostly from a NON NITRO pair, that being the EU.
I did throw a bone by asking trades be posted. Cannot help fix what nobody thinks is broken.
Now, if the results posted reflect only C4 trading, then there should be no impetus for any information on Nitro. Can trade either or, not both.
Sounds as though you are working the brain matter overtime to warrant abandoning a methodology due to a poor R/R. If so, that is understandable as you would not be the first. Many others choose the more traditional route of have a decent profit expectancy instead. That is called swing or position trading.
No sense comparing apples to oranges. Show the trades and will advise accordingly.
Regards.
