...exit for a loss of 1,9 pips, because 17:00 news time, and usually spread widens - well, it did not this time, but I did not wanted to be shaken out if it happens. In retrospect, TP at days low would be good.

G'day to all,
... judging from quick snapshot on EUR/USD the tight choppy monster didn't go away
so, it looks like we're gonna trading similar ugly conditions as for last couple days
on a horizon there is some fresh economic data from Europe, but will this make any changes? ... I doubt it.
anyway, lets try the best we can and get a good pips on our side ...

expectancy..
hour and half into this long trade.. time table= taking to long.. speed= slow.. rhythm= normal considering market condition..
this is overall anaylisis that you must go through every 20min pass your entery time if its stalling..

so what would I do.. based on my personal tolarance and comfort level.. i heavily watch the price reaction to the recent H/H at this point.. if its a clear and convincing break through I obviously stay with the trade.. if not and its acting funny I try my best to bank close to the top..

I just exited for a 19 pip profit.. sometimes is just common sense..
under this market condtion and the range ass market I thought its wise to bank bcz..
price got near top resisstant..
london open is coming up..
more importantly.. 19 pips its a solid profit..

so, its never based on some set of concret rules.. thats why its more like and art and anything else.. it comes down to your experience and intution as trader..
