scenerio 2:

short aud/jpy @77.00 divided by long nzd/jpy @63.00 equal short aud/nzd @ 1.2222

@now you dont have to worry about it but focus on aud/nzd trade exclusively and you have the flexibility to either short or long, scalp or swing or what have you! smaller size trades(1000s) may take you longer out of the wood but you are lucky to have thats journey

aud/jpy : nzd/jpy = aud/nzd
aud/jpy : aud/nzd = nzd/jpy
aud/nzd x nzd/jpy = aud/jpy

scenerio 3 :

shift the focus to aud/usd before Fammira shouting at me

Support and resistance break out, your position short aud/jpy @77.00 and you decide to go long both usd/jpy @95.00 and aud/usd 0.8400, now you are hedged and have three pairs to focus on but lets see from aud/usd trades perspective ....what price are you at rigth now and where are the significant support and resistance line?

short aud/jpy : long usd/jpy = short aud/usd(synthetic)
77.00 : 95.00 = 0.8105 but you also long aud/usd at 0.8400
now aud/usd point and figure chart tells me above 0.8225 i should add more long positions and below 0.8250 i should add more short posistions, this break out model called the path of least resistance by edwin from the book "reminiscences of a stock operator".

This reminds me of a hedging strategy that Dreamliner has in a thread somewhere. He puts two correlated pairs on a chart, and sells one and buys the other. And closes out when the two pairs cross on the charts.

Occassionally they'll diverge far enough apart where margins will close out the trades.

no Magic trader its all about controlling exposure , when the trade turn sour hedging deployed with synthetic to reduce the blood flow so the rescue mode is on and when the trades in profits hedging also deployed to locked in gain then look for the strong one to add more position and closed at break even. you play with markets money (profits).

losing trade is not an options stop loss also no no you locked them all with synthetic instead!

the noughts and crosses type charts is very simple and easy on the eye where the price sits most of the time (support & resistance)but i like candles too it gives time element of the price action

indeed she proved me wrong(profit taken), what to do when the trade wrong? turning small boat is easy turning the ocean liner way too bloody hard where to short aud/usd then and when to short usd/cad and at what price, how much exposure and why?

another high set today (0,8414)

I am starting to sell above 0,84

RBA should help on the short term after the ride from 0,80
would stop in case of a new high but I think we go down from here before going up again...

A lot of heavy action right at the .84 level, even though it's been there for awhile now. I'm also thinking we'll see this pair travel down a bit before it makes it to .85 though.

I was early, but if you notice EUR and GBP, you'll see RBA is on the market for sure, cause AUD is undeperforming today.

Maybe equities will keep their strenght, but in case of profit taking, AUD could fall some, I agree
