Hello all. I have spent the last few days going from page one thru the last page of this amazing thread. Thank you VERY MUCH to Edge and the many others that have given of their knowledge and experience.

I have traded stocks and options forever it seems, and have only started trading forex in the last year. After getting started on four hour trading, I quickly sought shorter time frame methods. Although I have been marginally successful, C4 has opened my eyes! I have loaded the pairs and indys per page 1, and have traded them with an 85% success rate this week while trying to absorb as much as possible from this thread. And I think that the rate would have been higher had I not tried to trade the wrong hours.

I, like many on here, have no knowledge of programming, so it will take me a bit longer than some to pick up everything I want. BUT, I did get the first page!

I want to say thank you again for everyone’s helpful sharing of their knowledge. This is how it should be, but as we all know, many times people want to hoard their knowledge and could care less about those getting started.

I will try not to ask too many questions, and I am NOT asking for someone to hand me a working, proven EA – although if TudorGirl would like to share, I promise not to tell anyone.

Thanks in advance for your help, and for the education that cannot be found elsewhere.

I believe that many of TG's entries are live entries based on acceleration and velocity points. Have you managed to code something which can show these? I'm trying at the moment, but my coding skills are a bit lacking to say the least :/

Just a 15 Min TF with 811 Stoch and the LWMA that Edge posted.

I want to get a Buy/Sell arrow everytime the stoch line (blue) crosses the 50.00 line.

How difficult is this?

Any ideas?

Hey guys, here's an idea that might help you. I would post a chart & template but am not on my MT machine at the moment.

Setup the Renko chart with the TG-SSC with your favourite settings. Then go to Navigator->Indicators and DRAG onto the TG-SSC pane the built-in Momentum indy.

It will default to "Apply to Close", but change this to "First Indicator's Data". This will (or should!) then calculate the momentum (ie velocity) of the TG-SSC line.

Do this AGAIN but select "Previous Indicator's Data". This will (hopefully!) then compute the momentum of the momentum (ie acceleration).

I have not used the MT momentum indy but no reason it shouldn't work!!

No coding needed! And all weekend to experiment!

Hi Darren,
I know how you feel. I did an analysis of my trades today and it seemed to be a study in how to enter trades too late to make profits. I was religiously following the signals and entering when the signal bar closed.
However, it made me look carefully at my setups and after doing some tweaking, I think my indicators are now a bit more responsive when you look at where trade entries would now occur.

Here's a thought on how to check your trade and indicators.

  1. Drag all your trades for a currency pair onto your 5 minute chart.
  2. Place vertical lines on the chart where the TRIX indicator indicates an entry point.
  3. Now switch the chart to the 1 minute timeframe. If your trade entries are late then play with the indicator settings until you get them where you like them.

I've attached a couple of charts for reference. The first one is the 5 minute chart with the trades and signals marked.
The second chart is the one minute chart showing the trades and signals.
The third chart is with the MA line adjusted and the TRIX indicator adjusted. Note that I left the original TRIX on the chart for comparison.
The 4th chart shows the new trade signal lines on a 1 minute chart. Note that the entry points will be 5 minutes sooner. This = better trades and profits.


Here are the original Indicator Settings:
MA Line: 8, 3, 6
Scalper Candles: 3, 1, 1, 1, 6
Swingman Ultra TRIX PV: 3, 1, 1, 1, 6
Swingman Ultra TRIX PV (2): 6,1, 1, 1, 6

Here are my adjusted settings:
MA Line: 6, 3, 6
Scalper Candles: 2, 1, 1, 1, 6
Swingman Ultra TRIX PV: 2, 1, 1, 1, 6
Swingman Ultra TRIX PV: 3, 1, 1, 1, 6
Swingman Ultra TRIX PV (2): 6,1, 1, 1, 6

You will need to determine where best to make your trade entries and exactly what indicator settings work best for you.

Maybe people should shut the hell up, and stop this in house bickering. I dont give a damm if somebody copied this or that indicator or is pretending to be someone they are not. You people are creating alot of BS posts. What I do care about is making money and learning the Nitro system better. On that note, has anyone noticed Edges last post. Something was changed. That is what I would like to know. Has Edge improved the system? Lets get back to learning, trading and making 2%.

Also, by me posting this... its one of those BS posts I hate reading.

Like the looks of your 1 min charts. Can't wait till Monday to try. Looks like several easy pips can be had on each entry. Do you use set stop and profit or just what feels right

Just had a play with this - the momentum indicators don't seem to stay put. They jump around a lot. Hmm, also, wouldn't they be incorrectly calculating velocity & acc as the time would be based on the change in bar number as opposed to actual time elapsed? i.e. The indicator would be designed for use in normal MT4 charts which are fixed time periods as opposed to renko which is not.

Fascinating what many minds working together can accomplish .. I checked out this trix overlay on a 15 min chart with smoothed HA candles and it does look very interesting & promising for longer term swing trades. Certainly it looks like it could have caught the entire move today in both GU and EU ... I'll keep one eye on it next week while I am collecting my daily scalping pips.

Hi, I still prefer the +/- .10 setting, the above is a bit too tight for me.

TG .. when I input the settings I want in the sync and save a template, when I apply it, the sync defaults to original settings. Also if I re-open MT4, it defaults to original settings and I have to change them on each chart ... any way to post the mq4 version or make the ex4 hold the changed settings?

I'll chime in on this .. because today, after reading the prior posts on momentum, acceleration, velocity & TG's explanation of same .. I found that using Chris's settings for TGSS and just eyeballing the chart and PA, that was enough to start to "see" the momentum occuring. I don't use EA's & as I said before, I don't want to .. I love to trade manually. If the perfect EA is invented one day maybe I will use it in a separate account, but I really want to spend 4 hours a day just trading.
Next week, if you start watching the action of TGSS when PA crosses your choice of ma .. you should see when the momentum is starting .. and anyone who cannot grab 5-10 pips from that is just not trying.

Why can't the TudorGirl sycophants realise that every thing she has given either repaints, is useless or has been rewitten from somebody else. She refusese to give any clue to her trading methods, but is quite happy to give trading results of 100%.
When somebody who a month ago said that she could not trade, now shows trading results of 73.7% in 48 hours, i tend to get suspicious.
trading results are easy to make up, plus she or he is not prepared to share their set-up, so why bother to post so called results.
Plus, i am suprised that Edgetrader has been taken in

Unless you are very wealthy, that is a lot to start with .. why not put $500 in a micro account and see how you get on. If you lose it all, you will have plenty more to top it up with.
