I have a ? about the semi-auto version.

If I can hypothetically always correctly determine the direction of trend (using a method of my own) it should be consistently profitable over time, unlike the fully auto version correct?

It stands to reason. Of course if I always correctly determine which way the market is going I can just place a trade, remove all s/l and wait.

Hello everyone, I have a problem with the name "Main_UpTrend_Trade_Alert_. when it touch the trend line it can not open another operation against it, if someone can help me I would be obliged greetings.

Yea, haha guess I didn't realize what I was asking. Sometimes you get so involved in analysis and EAs that you lose a bit of common sense.

Hi ayoneeyee and others, try this version, it has many new features and some bugs fix.

New features:
1- Will change the trade size by what is in variable "Lots_Increment" each time a new trade is activated while having a trade open. This will allow us to go around the FIFO rule.
2- Allow to have hidden profit and hidden stoploss when variable "TrailingStopFlag" is true. Lood at variable "Hidden_Take_Profit". To desactivate Hidden profit, set this variable larger than the TakeProfit variable. To activate the hidden stop lost, you need to have profit larger than "TakeProfit-TStrigger". So if your TakeProfit is at 1000, set your TStrigger at 1010. This way your hidden stoplost will be what you have set in variable TrailingStop as soon the trade is open.
3- A new dynamic trailingStop feature have been added. If you want your trailing stop to be the previous low from time frame set by variable "Auto_Chart_time" which is lower than the (acual Bid - TrailingStop_margin) for a buy, set variable TrailingStopDynamic at true
4- Now the EA will take track of individual trailingStop for a given pair even if you have many trade open on the same pair.
5- Fix bugs in trailingStop fonction
6- For those who are using the TrendLine_watch = true, The EA will automatically place a Main_XTrend_Alert_ when price action will touch either an UpTrend_Alert_ or a DownTrend_Alert_. So on a flat market, you can place a UpTrend_Alert_ under the lows and a DownTrend_Alert_ above the trading range and when price action will hit the UpTrend_Alert_ trend line, it will trace a Main_Down_Alert_ above the last high of the time frame set by variable "Auto_Chart_time". And the opposite if it hit the DownTrend. Whith this fonction you can set your EA to monitor the market and start trade when conditions are met.

Try this version and let me know how it work. Make sure your trade on demo with this version before you go live. This have many tool in the tool boxe to set up your trades. So you need to experiment and get confident with it before doing any life trade.

Many thanks for these improvements.
I'm confused with the section TrendAnalysis and the section Autotrade.
So if we consider the market flat, you suggest in Autotrade Section to set Manage_Trade = true and in TrendAnalysis Section to set TrendLine_Watch = true and TrendAnalysis = false.
Correct ?
Now if we put the features of your # 6 post 1828 ( UpTrend_Alert_ , DownTrend_Alert_ etc etc ) , the EA starts trading when conditions are met ie when the market becomes trendy.
But in this case , the setting of TrendAnalysis is false.
Will the EA work correctly ?
It would be well to resume the different possibilities of EA settings according to the situations of market ( choppy or trendy )
Because there are now a lot of good settings and I fear little that many traders are a bit lost.

Hi all,

I have been reading this thread, and finally reached the last page.
I have downloaded several versions and docs about the Firebird versions tested here and mainlly for the SamurayPower manual dircetion strategy.

Now I have 2 questions:
What is the used automatic version? I read about the 3.1a (which I did not found), the 1.5d version, and all other here... advice please?

Regardless the semi-automatic version, SamuraiP do you still using the Firebird v63G trader seven?

By the way...
I think that this indi can be usefull. Tested and do not repaint. It's a great tool for optimizing the entry and/or exit points

I can not get 1.5d to enter any positions I keep getting SafeArea to low and Divergence to low even after I tweak the settings. Can anybody help me with this problem? I am on 4 digit, attached is my .set

Hi there,

I have been backtesting several automated versions of Firebird posted here, and all of them gives me an error = 130 (on modifying and open some orders).

The backtests I am making are on a broker (FxOpen) that just allow me to open positions on 0.1lots interval. Could this be the reason?

I have tested on a broker that allows 0.01 steps and works fine...

I have checked and it is not caused by 4/5 digits broker (tried both options).

Manage_Trade is only a flag to prevent the EA to trade agains Heiken Ashi indicator. This indicator is working well with trend. On trendless period, you are going to get hit with badtrade.
TrendLine_Watch flag is to set the EA in a mode to detect when to start trade. So in trendless period, you set this flag at true and place an UpTrend_Alert and a DownTrend_Alert so when price action hit one of those, it will start to trade in the direction that the market want to go. So your skill of how to place those trendline are very important.
So if you combine both of those flag and your are right to detect a trend, it will produce good results.

There is no automatic version that have been demonstrade to work consistantly. This EA is for semi automatic. It his a lot of tools to held you trade forex market. So you need to detect which way the market will go and place Main trendline accordingly.

Version 3.1a nerver existed. It was a typing mistake. When you see 3.1a it meant 1.3a. I do not recommend to use those old version. They have bug in it. Use version 1.5d.

When you see those message, there is a number with it. This is the value of the divergence or the SaveArea. Change it so it will be higher than those number and it should work.

Being on a 4 digit broker, you need to divide by 10 a lot of those variables
Takeprofit, stoploss, Safearea, .... Any variable that refer to the value of the trade.

Read previous post on this subject, you will have some more info.
