i'm still on the short trade, entered the last grey shaded area and have been waiting until now...might go down more or not ;-)

yeah, but why not beeing discretioner at some points and follow intuition. next train will come ....I also remember some very silly NY openings last week...

fxachilies are you still in your short trade?

got out of my previous trade but now short again with sl in the blue box for 1 % of my account...let's see ..

thats how news can mess around with you if you pay toomuch attention to it.. first damage is missing the entery opportunity bcz news is up coming.. second to be decieved too early by its unlogicall technical move..

best is to do what you do.. only sit out the 3majors.. thats it.
I am on way to get 30 more minimum..

Yes, I still trade this method depending on my schedule and mindset.. Trading styles are fine as long as you stick to some blueprint that helps you evaluate your trading. I tend to pay attention to higher frame support and resistance. Today was a good example of pa respecting the daily resistance at 1.43. If you enter at the bounce you could have the potential for 50+ pips.

What the hell, my FxPro platform frozen on news time, can't do anything at all ...
the only positive is I didn't have any trades running or pending,
because the support line is unavailable as well, at least at the moment.

well got out for a profit a 0.7% and that last trade due to the big initial sl, well it was fun and more importantly didn't lose. it's nearly 17h here in switzerland so done for today ! ..

When you enter a trade with a Stop loss distant from 30 pips (like in this exemple), where do you place your 1st target profit?

Hi ,

well I don't really have an initial target (even if I try to aim for a R:R of 1 to 1), I try to lower as much as I can and as quickly as I can my sl following :
the L/H (in case of a downtrend like the last trade) or
if I have 15 pips or plus I put my sl near my entry like fx does

otherwise my tp would be guided by practising expectancy and looking at what the market is doing, and at what speed it is going at

...when I retrospect my chart & trades its obvious, that I missed some very easy and nice pips. So dont be too like me. I´m trying to improve this....practice,practice,practice
