i closed my long then went short,changing my method a bit,and playing s/r levels in this range , i agree its harder with no clear trend ,using mm so im not playing with fire,sorry if anyone feels off topic but we have to tweek the way we trade with the way euros playing now,i want a clear trend,

I just put a buy limit at 1.4150. What is everyone else doing?

I was lucky enough last night (for me) to pick a top (at 1.4245) and almost a bottom (at 1.4198) -something I rarely do- and made some quick 45 pips in a counter trade between NY time 9:39/10:37AM.

At the moment, I'm either waiting for a test/rejection of my H4 upwards TL (currently at 1.4285) for another Short counter trade (with a T/P around 4200ish), or may I go Long around 1.4100 pending PA, as I have another ex-resistance H4 TL there that was recently pierced (and hopefully turned into Support). I will not leave any pending orders, though, as I want to closely watch PA as it approaches either level.

Edit: PA just spiked up to .4277 (and quickly fallen to .4220), but I'm still on the sidelines waiting for Bernanke's speech a few minutes from now.

Edit #2: We missed a really good trading opportunity tonight. PA never came back to pick us up and hit our intended T/P (1.4185) to the pip. Bummer. At least we didn't lose any money.

Just signed up with Jacko and noticed FXtrader29, that you said in an earlier post that you learned from printing out Jacko's blogs and going through each one of them. In other words, are you saying you printed out every blog in each month in each year and looked back at every trade he has made or just read all of them to get the jist of things before making your trades?
I see that you have been successful in emulating Jacko's trades and am trying to start off on the right foot.

I don't know if he did it, but i did.

Do it too, go through every blog entry of his, since 2007, while with your chart open to see the historical data and see what he did and why he did each of his trades, it'll help you a lot and you'll end the experience as a more mature trader.

I printed out all the blog entries by for each month. It was 400 and something pages of terrific trades and case histories. A pure gold mine. I highlighted all the trades and then spreadsheeted them all. It was made easier from August last year when Jacko started summarising each trade in the JFAM blog which we can all see. That is why it is so easy to see that Jacko is terrificly profitable.
By studying each case history of each of the trades I got a high level of understanding of his thinking processes leading up to the trade and how he attacked the trade. His exits at that stage were using TSL's. So i had the thinking before the trade processes, the trade process itself and the trade exits. Pure genius

Hi All...new to the Jako system (3 weeks on paid blog). I don't understand the significance of moving a forum to the commercial forum or to the recycle bin.

That would have to be the lamest decision I have seen on this Forum. I see that the highly successful and respected threads of Jacko and James16 have been relegated to the hidden area of the Commercial Forum.
The headliner topics on the front page of the Forum are topics like How to make 4% a day Forever by the self-named The Fool.
Or what about the topic Psychic Abilities Anyone?
Is someone purposely setting out to destroy the reputation of Forex Factory and turn it into a toxic waste of scammers and newbies with airhead topics?

perhaps we are overeacting but at this point i would say that all that stands between a very bad decision by the very decent people at forex factory and disaster for this place is for people like you to make this known to them thru personal contact.

jamie,james 16 and danuk are right,most of the blog now contains nothing but how many pips we are making,im guilty too,and so are few more of us,newbies are coming in and thinking it a easyway to riches,most the good traders dont post on here anymore because of this, danuk being one of them.lets stop talking about what we are making,and talk about the method we use,where we are entering, on our own trades why we are entering,w here the trend is going,then this tread will be back in its rightfull place.im sure jacko but like it this way too,jackos private blog is his private blog nothing to do with what this tread is supposed to be about.any newbie can read the first few pages and then its up to them.anyone in jackos group me too should keep it out and keep it private.so back to trading.is this bullish trend over,im not sure,anyone help thanks in advance

Jacko. Why have they moved your thread? I couldn't find it . What dickhead would move the best thread on the site for newbies and serious traders to the back of the site? Fckin unbelievable.

I wanted to say a BIG thank you for that countertrend trade call last nite. I scored 130 pips. I am up some 600 pips this month You are the man. How you saw the short trade when everyone was screaming that it was going up is a mystery to me but I am starting to get more disciplined and patient and scoring some big wins. Thanks, man.
And tell whoever moved this thread to put it front and centre so that EVERYONE can learn how to trade properly.

I totally agree with you Garrye - I tried to warn people some time ago that this place was going way off track. No longer is it a place for people interested in learning how to trade this method; it has become a boasting ground for how many pips people are making and how to follow Jacko's private group.

I have absolutely no issue with anyone having a private group - I am all for it; but this thread has dropped in value because decent people who used to post here got fed up with the bs.

I sincerely hope we can all get back on track after all this "commercial" stuff is sorted.

Yeah you are correct.

I think it's more than time that we members of Jacko's group have a private forum of our own. Since Jacko didn't create a private forum we decided to use this topic as our home, but a forum would be much better. This is just an idea..

looking at my charts ,weekly up,daily up,4 hour up,but we all know no value in the euro,why is dollar weak my view only,dow is up.i dont belive the numbers ,its going up and taking people for the ride,sheep will follow and getting out of cash,and into stocks,the banks are making record profits,i just dont get it.china record dollar holdings,no way will they let the dollar fall.what do we do.we trade the charts and hope and pray this is not a dotcom bubble.if it is.im ready,and shorting everything.ive not been trading too long so any help from anyone is welcome.will i stand aside noway,i can still make money,but the trends not stable,or is it.anyone got a point of view.without telling us all how good u are at taking signals,i think we all know that.one day we will have to do this alone.i think im getting better at this,i hope you are too,just as im finishing this things are starting to fall.what do you see,and what u going to do,reguarding jackos way.i dont want to fight,i want to learn,hope u understand.this is one hell of a tread lets keep it that way.

Hey guys,

so there are 2 resistance lines i have, the first one being from
approx july 7th, 2008 to july 1st
and other
from dec 18th, 2008 to 2nd of june.

the longer resistance line was broken july 19th and its a years worth of resistance now current price is playing around my 2nd resistance. since july 20 to current (july 24) the price has not left from this resistance line, it always closes touching it.

Do you think The EUR will have more value than the USD and break it up to reach a new height


also June 2nd there was a high formed at 1.4338 do you guys look at that level as a level of resistance as well?

Perhaps the price, if breaks current resistance, will be bullish until then before dropping down?
