How / where to chart currencies not as pairs in metatrader?

Not sure where to ask this question but I guess it would be mostly related to what broker to use if there are any. Is there any way to chart currencies not as pairs but as single currencies? ie "USD" rather than "USD/JPY"
I know stock charts.com does but I need it in metatrader.

How can you chart the value of a currency without a reference from which to measure that value? USD can be charted against one other currency as in USDJPY, against a basket of currencies as in the dollar index, against the purchasing power of USD (ie the value at which it can be exchanged for goods and services over time), or against a commodity such as gold or oil. All the commodities, futures and equities are all pairs much the same as the foreign exchange markets, referenced against the USD or whatever the currency is that they are listed in. If the price of gold rises, is it because gold has appreciated in real value, or because USD has depreciated in real value? Whilst they are both true to some extent when viewed in isolation, to get a better idea of what is really going on you have to cross check both with other measures of value (for instance the price of gold against a basket of currencies and the rate at which USD is being traded against the majors).

So, which is it that you are after?

A USD/USD chart would be a flat line with value 1.0, so technically its possible

Birdt is correct, forex prices measure one currency's strength relative to another. But an indicator like this, can be used to summarize a currency's overall performance, by calculating a weighted avaerage across all relevant pairs.

You are doing a good job in putting out weekly fundamental research. Russians are good at innovating though the intention is to milk the gamblers (speculators). You are a trader and you will immensely benefit by downloading forexlite.org MT4 platform, which I found after a few years search, which has what you are (and I was) looking for. They have mimicked usdindex for eight currencies.

Yes, make me rich too and share your strategy for using single currencies trading.
