It means you have got a talent Success with EURJPY still starts from +60-70 pips not 10

But if going for 10 pips - why do you need a SL at all?

Repainting makes backtesting impossible, that is true. But we are not backtesting, we are trading.

I disagree. Repainting indicators do matter at almost every stage of trading:
1. When devising a strategy a repainting ind gives a false impresion.
2. When doing initial test trades - either Demo or Live, unless you take a screen shot of every trade upon entry, you can't be sure if you missed something, or if the indi just repainted. So how do you improve you trading and cut down on losing trades?
3. When live trading with a successful strategy, if you start getting worse results, is it you doing something different or is it the indi repainting.

The only times when a repainting indi does not matter are:
1. When you are using an EA to test the strategy.
2. When you are live trading it with good results. - But how long is that going to last, since the market is always changing.

Just my humble opinion.

Here is another helpful hint on 5M range bound price action. If price starts to look like it's stalled a bit, find the last Swing High and Swing Low and wait for price action to break out side that range before placing another trade. This is currently the case for the EU and since EU is in an uptrend right now I would be careful about jumping in a short trade even if the price action breaks lower. I would want to see the 15M Trix signal a short before I take a short position.

In Visualization uncheck "All timeframes" and check 15M or 30M

Did that nothing showed up on the screen

Perhaps I am mistaken, but dont you have two Hull(12) histograms? The stand-alone indi which is in the fiste sub-window and the thn current chart TF line (H1 in this case) of the 4 TimeFrame MegaTrend MTF indicator in the bottom sub-window (in this case the bottom line).

If the separate lines in the bottom sub-window are too small to read, then why have them in the first place.

All indicators are found on the thread, click on the paper clip on the top right side of the page and look for MFT TRIX and SM TRIX.

Yes, but one must keep testing and analyzing even a live system. Otherwise when market conditions change you are in difficulties.

I have had to modify my main live system twice in the last 14 months because of changes in volatility.

Hi Skyzer...

You need to apply the MTF Trix indicator multiple times on the 5M chart. In the input tab set one application to 15M and one to 30M or what ever time frame you wish to monitor. You can tick the visualization box to have them show up on just the 5M chart or any time frame chart you wish.

Moved SL to BE also at EJ. As the same has been done with EU, I may now stop watching the screen

Amazing, how much can this system give when there is a strong trend!

I didn't have the MTF indicator. Didn't know one was made until now. And, i thought I read every post here!! That is one cool setup! Thanks Indrek and Ozzie. Swingman is really cranking in his indicator lab

I got stopped out of my long EJ after moving up the SL to beneath the TM and the swing low.

Now it has just gone and hit what would have been my TP.

What a frustrating day it has been (for my demo trading).

Sorry, ozzie, I did that and it's only duplicating same thing as I already have

How do make M15 showed up

And I want like on your screen:

smSuper TRIX_v1 M30 (3,M,M,E,C) 0.0085

Changing "Visualization" time frame doesn't change anything
on the Indicator itself

It seems that you had a very good day Indrek!

For me...a very bad day...i still have to find my best settings...stops...and i have to put in my mind that i can't trade counter trend...

Hi Indrek...

I was also playing around with the MTF Trix and came up with 5,15 and 30M set up. I looked at the 1hr chart but wasn't sure I was gaining any advantage with the 1hr chart. I think the 5 and 15M charts are the key to entering positive trades and if the entry is in the same direction as either the 30M or 1hr chart it's just another positive signal to push the plunger as Edge says.
