Alright we have now taken the first crack at the trend if this is what we want to call the trend, so now I will have to see if the reload to the timeframe I am miaking my perspective will come. This is the point as a trader I never know what will happen but all I can do is look at how orders come into the market. What I do expect is to get a bounce back up from this day of selling around price 3735 ...preety much the entire area we are currently located in the market. If we do manage to slip lower I will hope to get a nice tradable reaction around 3580. Always remember every timeframe can have a different trend so I never know who is dirving the market. All I do is fallow the orders being placed and put the probabilities on my side for aslong as I can.

I'll be spending more time at a new thread EU Redux General Discussion (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=177093) for awhile.

It's an alternative to the old EU thread which was in Decline.

This thread is still Open As Always for all the things we like to discuss at a Slower Pace w/o having to backtrack 50 pages to find our last post on the subject, or any instructional and how to stuff. Or to just get out of the Rain...

Please limit any chart posts to Long TF's or events such as trend changes, impending pinbars or (semi) serious analysis and such for the time being.

You guys all know what I mean...

I'll be updating the INDEX on Post #1 as well over the next few days I hope...

This current PA on the Daily so far is a great example of the Pivot action I use so much in my intraday trading, and especially Asian sesion thru early Fo/Lo, and I'm going to add link this post into that series in the Index on Post #1.

The Star Players here on this 20m chart tho aren't the traditional S, R, and M pivots, but the Quarter and Split pivots or QP's and SP's I refer to in my earlier posts on Pivot Trading (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?p=2570349&highlight=pivots#post2570349) and the wide spread between the main pivots is why.

The Aqua lines are the more commonly used QP's and the light Gray lines are the less commonly used SP's or Split pivots.

Once again, when the spread between the Main Pivots is really wide due to a big move in the previous daily calculation period, then that's the time to Plot and Watch the things.

All that info can be found in these posts (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?p=2570349&highlight=pivots#post2570349) earlier on in this thread along with some excellent additional info resources.

I've gone ahead and plotted the QP's and SP's below the current Daily Pivot ifor when price breaks below that later today, we can watch and see what happens where and I will update this chart one time at the Close.

Note that I've also split the SP's again in the M3/4136 QP range as well so there are two of them... at 4103 and 4114.

I will rarely post those on my charts here, but you can Bet Your Bippy they're on My chart if I'm scalping that range on the 2m/3m charts...

Here's the Update chart showing the PA below the break of the Daily Pivot as anticipated.

Even in the brisk Post FOMC announcement PA, the pivots were respected pretty well. Some of that is seen much more clearly on a lower TF chart such as the 5m.

I use the 2m thru 6m charts myself and then toggle to the 20m for the larger moves, then back to the lower ones for the turns and retracements.

When Price is moving fast and it blows thru one set of levels, I just look to the next ones and watch how they perform until we get to the One That Matters.

In looking for an alternative but still viable Perspective, I've been pondering 3 particular MA's on the Daily... 365/548/730sma and wondering if we're not actually at what we used to call "slack tide".

We lived along Turnagain Arm (http://www.alaskascenes.com/turnagain.html) in Alaska for a number of years and never got tired of watching 24-30 ft tides roar in (sometimes creating 3-6ft 'bore tides' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ts43mBbnTlI&feature=related))) and fill up the entire +40 mile long inlet in about 3 hours, then go flat for an hour or so before roaring back out and emptying the whole thing back down to the mud.

That's when an unwary Beluga whale would find it self getting either beached on a mud flat at worst or stranded in a tidal pool at best. Becuz of the quicksand like mud hazards, it was rare that anyone would be able to assist them until the tide came in and floated them again. Catch it just right (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8_O6p3m8eM&feature=related) tho, and yeehaw!!

This reminds me of that at times... I know something will happen soon but unlike the tides, just not when, and Complacency could be costly.

Couple of points I want to cover here... {a little sojourne into the woods}.

"If No One's Home"
I remember when I was ~10 years old {1962}, in Glasgow; Scotland, My Father coming home early one evening and all bejeebers broke out. We had been robbed! Not surprising when you consider we never locked our doors.
The only items that were missing were our (reasonably) brand new Washer & Dryer. {they were quite small back then. not the 40lb laundry versions we have now.}

After about 15 minutes of cafuffle & hubbub, our neighbour, Davey Grey, came to the back door & asked if he could have a hand to get the Missing Appliances Back over the fence as he had had a helluva time getting them over it in the first place.
Turned out that the neighbours had simply "Borrowed" them for the afternoon. And Why Not.
Back then we played as a Team.
Nowadays we grab what we can & post our points to the table to prove our proess.

Sad to say, but... {Only Mostely} dead are the days of Trust & Friendship.

The Other Thing...
About 15 years ago I started a Northern Canada Fly in Fishing Company.
Got to do the Camp site research myself. Standing on the floats of a plane & hucking iron into a virgin lake... Wow! One of my "Mark this Page" moments. Let the company go & haven't wet a keal in the last 3 years.
BUT. Have Never done the Alaska Fishing Trip I always thought would be a "Marked Page"

I'm gonna do it & I can only hope that I luck into a guide that truely understands the True North and not some summer student.

The Grizz? Seen them on the river bank while I was tossing an Olive Dunn in midstream Northern AB.
Sent a little chill up my spine but nothing like having to palm a fly reel with a 26" Brown telling you to Go F Yourself.

I may have the amenities of a metropolis but, and I know you know this, it is a tradeoff.

The owner (Chad Valentine, the guy on the right side with the King) is a good friend. He grew up fishing those rivers as a kid... Amazing guy and Master angler...

From the same little village, hop on a plane with TAT (http://www.talkeetnaair.com/) and go fly a'rd The Mountain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAx58lIynfY)... ((be sure to click the HQ button...))

Fly-in only trips to remote lodges can be had and are spendy but it's just you, the river, the bugs and the bears... Here's one (http://www.riversonglodge.com/index.html) we have their recipe book but have never been to. It's just across the inlet from Anchorage so is very reasonable to get to. Amazing story behind the owners building the place from scratch years ago.

You guys get ready to go, PM me and I'll get you in contact with the right people... Remember, the seasons are short up there.

Finally, our oldest with Chad and her 49lb King out of the Talkeetna river a few years ago...

Will most likely be waiting to get long around this area to see is the current area of buyers is large enought to absorb the current down push. I know this part in the market will probably make price go sideways untill one side runs out of money and then I will be looking to participate. If price can maintain its value for a couple of days I will be looking to take a position long. But if price manages to take out the next major low 1.4177 I will consider a short...and if price triggers me and then shows me it was simply stop hunting I will stop and reverse depending on what price shows after the break. I am getting a little bitt ahead of myself here in this post but lets see how things plays out in the upcoming days. In the meantime I will probably trade price back and forth untill the overall picture decides what side has more money the sellers or the buyers.

I'm considering this thread 'closed' for all practical purposes and have put a +11 vouch limit on it to discourage new posts as I don't believe there's any reason to continue it or leave it open. Even if you are qualified to post here with +11 vouches, I would ask that you please not do so.

My emphasis has been on the EU Redux Thread (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=177093&page=1) for the last 9 months and what little participation here at FF I expect to keep up is best left there.

Times and fashions change as do most things and it's usually not a good idea to stand in front of that bus.

If someone can make use of the Index on Post #1 to reference some of the excellent posts made here by some folks I really admire then by all means do so.

I enjoyed most ((but not all)) of the time I've spent at FF and especially sitting a'rd the Table with a great bunch of guys that I learned some priceless things from. You know who you are...

hey ak...... long tf's..... events...... trend changes...... pin bars.......

my (semi) serious slower pace analysis leans toward the eurnzd and euraud.........

a diet coke says i can put 100 green trades on both...... throw in a crispy kfc sandwhich , and i'll make it 150.......h
