I am going to make a clean chart with the rules, all indicators, and post (may be). It is pretty easy. Trade in the direction of OSMA.

I really do not want to bother this thread from what it was originally intended for.

I only did this because I learnt something about scalping from Edge.

However, a new thread may be started on this technique of scalping if you folks WANI IT that way.

I also thank every contribitor. I am new to the thread and this site and have found it very informative and useful. My only question is Can we get a 3 min time frame for metatrader 4 and if so how?

Actually you can. Attach the indicator to a m1 chart for the currency pair you want. Change the period multiplier to 3 for a 3 min chart, 6 for a 6 min chart etc etc. Minimise the m1 chart but do not close it. Go to File, Offline, locate the M3 chart for your currency pair and open. Now you have a working 3 min chart which is taking its feed from an m1 chart, which is why you should not close the m1.
You can attach another instance of this indicator to the same chart if you wanted say also a 8 min or 11 min etc chart.

Simply add your indis/template to your 3 min chart.

Similarly you can get 2 hr/ 3hr charts etc.

Sorry I missed your post earlier, anyway that I hadn't noticed, guess you've probably checked it out for yourself by now. Think it does repaint a bit until the candle completely forms like most indicators tend to do. Anyway I think the indicator is probably best used on 30 min & or up charts after looking at some of the other scalping indicators that have been posted here lately.

I for one vote that you stay since this thread has already changed anyway.
I think your onto something using DMI with BB etc, both very good indicators. I'd like to learn more about your technique, and I already know where this thread its.
There are a lot of indicators on FF that detect sideway or ranging markets & it's not really hard to see on a chart as clean as yours when the market starts taking a walk. This indicator might help anyway.
If you and Edge decide to go elsewhere please PM me.

I love indicators. Anyone that says they don't is being disingenouous. If you use nothing but candlesticks, that's an indicator. From there, people add what they will. Moving averages, crosses, trix, cci, etc.
Everyone is looking for that magical combination. Of course, I am in that same group. If people hadn't have introduced their own found or made indicators, these boards would be very dull indeed, and would cease to exist, because everyone would be trading based on fundamentals and looking to see where there may be some trouble on the horizon for the pound, the frank, or the dollar.
In my never ending search for the perfect combination, I have scoured these boards. I don't mind it all. I consider it as part of my education, and I am thankful that many others have either found something I wasn't aware of or maybe even made their own, which is beyond my capabilities, at least at the present time.
If you try to kick people off the thread for offering what they have, or what they found, or the combination that they believe works, how in the world does anyone learn anything? Don't we learn just as much from failures as we do success? Thomas Edison took over 1000 failures before he suceeded in making the light bulb, which revolutionized the world.
I consider all the posts I read as the price of success. You have to find out what won't and doesn't work, before you can know what does work.
Maybe this new set of indicators really does work wonders. Who knows? Can we know before trying? With all that being said, if the thread originator wants to keep the thread pure, he can say so. Keep this in mind, though. If he did insist on keeping it to the original rules, we would have never discovered Tudor Girl and Edge trader, amongst many others like Notch, etc.
In the quest for your own particular brand of trading success, you have to endure a little pain and discomfort. No one ever said it would be easy.

Ok here is my latest chart. I have DMI set at 4 and another DMI set at 14.

The 14 DMI tells me to go for morethan 10 pips. The DMI 14 is also
used as a filter for unwanted slow moving price action. I have not yet attached the filter on the DMI 14 here,
I will later after people understand the basics for taking trades.
I will explain all of these later on.

Please trade only in the Direction of OSMA.

I have attached the version of DMI I use. The other indicators (OSMA
and Bollinger Bands) are pretty standard on MT4 platform.

The SMTRIX indicator can be downloaded from the forum (see paper clip).
You could either use the TRIX or the OSMA set at the particular level in
my chart. If you like you could use both OSMA and TRIX if you like, they all work fine.

Please check out my latest chart and my other charts for entry and exits. I go for +ve 10 win and a stop loss of -ve10 + spread.
