Start to demo seriously for 6 months. You will yourself know where to look for and what to look for. And you will also know whether you are suited to this business or not. Everybody who is winning in this forum has learnt on their own. No mentor is going to be of any good in this business. LEARN IT YOURSELF THROUGH YOUR MISTAKES, but always be open when it comes to learning.

hi buddy,

one of the BEST advise around is...

no matter what system you use,

DO NOT OVER POSITION YOURSELF..

a usual rule is MAX LOSS of 2% of your account in any one trade !

forex is an ongoing business.. you must learn to survive first...

dear suntrader.thx for your attention. perhaps the 200$ is just a deposit i prepare for trading in micro or maybe nano account. i don't expect anything but only the growth of my initial deposit.

Dear Friend,

I have read all your messages on this thread and very useful advise to you from fellow traders and readers on FF.

I am agreed with them.

Don't make yourself confused with too much of advises or don't fool yourself with some Holy Grail kind of trading system or something quick-fix sort of solution.

Almost everyone here is in search of something like that (with due respect and exception to some very intelligent traders and guide).

Here, I am suggesting the names of 2 books.......which I feel will be very much helpful to you (as it is to me as well).

1. Trading for a living, by Alexander Elder.
2. Technical analysis from A to Z by Steven Achilis (correct the spelling if reqd)

I hope these books will give you very good idea about trading and will help u in building a solid base for your endeavor.

And, henceforth, please don't ask anyone about where to open Demo A/c for trading micro/mini/nano lot size.

U can open it online on end number of broker's websites.

Wishing u successful training of trading.

If you could be more specific as to where you are at in your forex trading, that may help.

Have you gone through the babypips school?
Have you learned exactly what "Margin and Leverage" is and how you will apply it to your account?
Have you started to demo trade?
Have you started to determine what type of trader you will be, day trader, swing trader or long term trader?

I am a newbie also, but these things above will at least get you started.

My suggestion is to just start demo trading, it is play money, so lose away while you learn how to open and exit a trade. After you are comfortable with that, start to learn how to set your stop loss and take profit points.

Start looking at charts to learn what the Support and Resistance (S/R) levels are for the particular currency pair you have chosen. Take one and start setting up the S/R and Trendlines. Leave all of the fancy indicators alone until you can setup the S/R levels and Trendlines.

I don't thinx amount of deposit have anything to do with what kind of trader you will be,
Most people decides it depend on how much time they have for trading, for example someone who has full time job might only have a few hours a day for trading.

I'm new myself, but I read one of the biggest reasons new traders fail is because of under capitalization. 200 is not enough to properly start, even if you were good you are more likely to fail because of the low startup capital. Even riskier since you are a beginner.

I have not learned or practiced enough myself, and I also do not have the minimum amount I want to open a micro account with ($1000), but while I work on getting that money I will study and practice my ass off, so I am properly prepared once I have a proper capital to go with it.

I also do not have a job right now and its very rough. I wont give up though.

I also notice in an above post you mention a very high leverage. I urge you to not use leverage that high or else you can get margin called real quick. Especially if you wanna start off day trading, which I think might not be the best idea for someone starting off with a low startup capital. I haven't read this whole thread but the couple posts I have seen I keep thinking that you may burn all that money and it sounds like its money that you really wouldn't want to lose.

I'd advice you to use 1:50 Leverage at max.
No professional trader needs 1:400 or 1:500.

Did you read my whole post man?

I said I was new and that I am still practicing and studying. I also said that I did not have my minimum amount for a startup capital yet. As for how long I have been studying and practicing I have been doing that for about 9 months so far. I don't do things half assed especially if its something where I could easily lose money like forex.
