DislikedI've attached the file to this post.
But I think you'll find the same problem occurs, because there's a bug in Internet Explorer that prevents downloading the complete file. The same problem has been reported while trying to download prior versions (e.g. see earlier post #276).
You could try downloading using a different browser, e.g. Mozilla Firefox or Opera. I just tried with Opera and it worked fine, at the first attempt.
If the ZIP file downloads successfully, the file size (viewed in 'My Computer') should show as 1,130 KB.

DislikedHi Hanover, great indicator. I installed it according to your instructions. It shows the past news points no problem. However, it does not show any upcoming oes. Any ideas how I can get it fixed?

DislikedHi Hanover,
Quick question. Is it possible to use MT4's visualization options with ffcal? I tried it with 2 separate installations and unticking any one or combination of time frame options has no effect on news spots. I'd really need this since I do a lot of trend charting in higher TFs.
Thanks

DislikedHi Marco,
The spots are MT4 objects. They are deleted and re-plotted every time the chart is refreshed, and the deletion means that the Visualization settings are lost. Provided that you set (the Plot_News parameter) AutoRefresh = FALSE, and don't refresh the chart manually (i.e. change timeframe, or edit or reattach the indicator) the Visualiztion settings should hold good.
However, the best way to set these permanently is through FFcal.EXE itself, using the settings shown in area "1" of the screenshot below. All of the news items are still...Ignored
DislikedThis looks like a rebadging of Derk Wehler's FFcal indicator. Derk's original version can be found here.
To answer your question: I guess it depends on what you're looking for. Every application is ultimately a compromise between simplicity and functionality. If you want more functions, then you must be willing to invest time learning how to use them.Ignored
DislikedHi. Thanks for the great indie.
Unfortunately (despite meticulously following your getting started instructions) I cannot get past this error message when I hit OK (F10) in the Build News window.
I see the news.csv file being created in the /files folder (0kb) and if I hit "abort" enough times I get an empty scrolling news event list...
Then I'm politely told FFCal has to close.
Any ideas please?

DislikedThanks Hanover.
Pressing F10 gives me an immediate error - in nanoseconds. No brief window appearance or white dots. The key press is obviously not letting WGET do it's thang.
No "FFcalout" file is being written to the FFcal135 directory.
Nothing shows in the MT4 folder location pop down menu, so I type it in manually.
I DO notice that the very first black window (before BuildNews pops up) says "File not found"
