Hi Nanningbob, if I want to trade your system manually, not using EA, so the only thing I will do to set up for my chart is to copy indicators and template to my program's right folders. That's all or anything else. Pls not be uncomfortable if this question raised somewhere in this thread, coz I just come acrossthis thread. Many thanks!

Yes I have used this system in some form over the last two years manually. I just find using the EA a great way to enter trades because many times I am not around when the best time to enter comes. To those who use this with weekly pivots etc will probably find manual trades to be a better way. Especially using pending orders etc. So to each person's taste you can trade.

To set up the trade manually you could use the MT4 MACD removing the histogram and adding the two sto lines. Then putting BB and some form of S/R lines or Pivot system and trade very successfully manually. Because I am not home often during the day I find the EA very usefull and keeps me out of the runners most of the time before entering. More experienced traders who are used to Pivot trading or S/R trading will probably feel more comfortable manually trading this system. My biggest problem in trading is entering too early and so I let the EA discipline myself. That is my trading weakness so the EA is my crutch, but a wise one for me.

I've also made one month summary of trading with this strategy.
I didn't have so much time to trade ,so I took only 15 trades.
Apart from signals showed by indicators I watched monthly and weekly pivot
point support and resistance zones.
Here are my results:
15 total trades
11 winners
4 losers
Win ratio 73%

Largest winnig trade :385pips
Largest loosing trade: 159pips

I've earned 1425pips

I like very much the idea of avoiding death by thousand stops...

Good luck!

Hey do you have a good weekly or monthly pivot indicator because I have never found one I liked. If you do have one could you post it?

Hi,

I had the same problem.
Try this: Right Click, then Save As. Don't open it, Close it.
Then go in through MS WORD, not Adobe.

I don't know why.
The new Adobe reader has been giving me trouble.
I stumbled upon this solution.

Good Luck

What make the X or smiley face appear on the ea when it is in the corner? When I drag the ea over to the chart, what do I have to do to make sure it turns on correctly. I think I have missed some trades and I don't know why. Thanks

If you see an x that means the EA is not loaded properly. Drag the EA on the screen and make sure you have clicked the box for live trading. When you do that the x will turn to a smiley face and it is working.

I have come up with a formula that almost literally guarantees a break even on almost any trade. I hope I can explain it in a way you can understand. I will call it 242424 strategy and a variation242646. If you think in boxes of 400 pips every 200 pips I think you can understand how this works. I am only going to show this in the worst case scenario. Any other price action and you make a profit.

Trade A is entered with .20 lots and it goes 200 pips against you. You then enter .40 lots. If price reverses 70-80 pips in your favor, (depending on...

i have not read all of this thread, i came to this post and i find it very usefull for my trading.I trade different setups , different tfs and 3 diferent accounts.
What i dit today, totaly stressless, was
1. i opened a short trade 2 minis at 1.4059
2. set a limit sell for 4 minis at 1.4200 (not 200 pips but .00 level)
later on another account, another setup i get a long signal
3. opened a long for 2 minis at 1.4144 tp 1.4200
so what came out :
the long closed with tp 1.4200 = 56 pips
the 2 shorts i closed manually at 1.4153 = -94 pips for the 2 minis and + 94 pips for the 4 minis

so all in all 56 pips gain
now i would like to know if thats conform to your idee of trading with almost no loss at all

It sounds similar but my system is meant to go with my strategies. I am sure adaptations of it would fit other strategies as well. So it sounds like you did well. I used to use a system where I did a buy and a sell at the opening of the eur session and then near the close of the USA session closed the profit and then countertraded the loss during the JPY session when prices would retrace. The retracements were my profit. Very stress free trading because you knew price wasnt going to run away from you then. S/R levels are often set at the end of the USA session and I found them easy to trade from. But yeah sounds like you did well. Thanks for the report.

On my manimized window, the sto line cross over the MACD line, but if I maximise the window, the sto line is not crossing over. THe MADC line is not fixed, and keeps changing possition.
Is there any way around this.

The MACD red line is not a fixed line but the STO lines are. If you use the full screen and 4 weeks of data on the screen, you will find the indicator will give the info you need for starting your trade. The purpose of the indicator is to give you a good time to turn on the EA and look for the reversal. That is the purpose. I have tried having all fixed indicators and none give as good of a signal as a moving MACD. The EA is your protection against a continued run and the multi level entrances give you the flexibility to adjust to price action. With the 242 recovery system we have covered just about all the bases need to trade tops and bottoms. The MACD is a lagging but moving indicator and your best entrances are where the blue and white are crossing it. However, since we dont know exactly when that will happen the moving MACD keeps adjusting until it does. The EA helps you in getting that entrance.

It has taken me about two years to get this to all fit together. I am going to post my results for the last month and they are quite astonding. I am very pleased with my live test of this system, in fact more than pleased, I am estatic. I want to finish my trades today and then post my results tonight.

Honestly I was a little miffed that some guys dissed my trading system early. 11 guys posted negative votes before the first day of trading even began. In other words they voted without ever even trying the system. So I decided to do something about it. I took one of my accounts and put 7.00 dollars in it and started trading June 3. I used almost all primary trades and traded .01 or 1 cent a point. I slowly built the account up until 1 month later, it is now 61.01 almost 9x the account from the beginning. I also am up to .02 and .03 trades and run several at once. I used almost all primary trades during this time. My win ratio was 75.6% and I had 93 winners and 30 losers. During this time I had to use my 242 recovery system twice. Once on a eur/gbp trade and the other was the eur/cad trade which I posted live while I was doing it on earlier pages. The first dip was the eur/gbp and the second dip was the eur/cad. The big drop is caused by the closing of the 1st level. You can see how I recuperated quickly, within 48 hours and kept right on going. The line is accelerating as I upped the lots to .02 and .03.

Anyway here are the results. I am not going to add any money to this account but see how far I can take my 7.00 dollars to. I think this is extremely impressive for a system. These are not demo trades but live trades many of them were posted on earlier pages in this thread. Again to do this I used almost all primary trades, very few secondary trades and no trade continuation trades. I felt I did not have enough margin for those kind of trades.

Loving you thread.
I have read ( and re-read) your instruction.
I just wanna clearify some points.

Does the EA( buy and Sell) remain activated all the time on the chart or do I have to turn them on when the criteria is met?

You mentioned on page 12 of your explaination to the system
"When you decide this maybe a good time to enter you turn on the buy or sell EA...."

Can you please give clear set off rule/criteria as to what to look for before turning Sell or Buy EA.

Sorry if you have already done this..

P.S. I reckon this is an awsome trade system. Many thanks for posting...

Hi, Would someone kindly look at the attached screen shot and tell me what's wrong.

I have only 1 line on the 3-3 indicator and I have 2 purple lines on each side of the BB. I have no idea what this is or what it does.

Thank you so much.

Yes, when all three lines, red white and blue, are above the 85 line you turn on the sell EA. It will not enter until the 3MA open crosses teh 3 MA close. This way it helps you from entering a trade too early. If price goes against you the EA doesnt enter until it retraces. Once all three lines are above the 85 line or below the 15 for the buy EA, you are in a major retrace or price turn around territory. Once the EA enters the trade you then turn it off and manuallly control the trade as per the instructions found in post 1. This is a manual traidng system with an EA that helps you enter the trade. Again reread the manual posted on page 1 post 1. It has pictures and examples of how this system works. If after reading it you have more questions I will be happy to answer them.

Hit control I and see if you have a moving average added to your screen and delete it. It looks like one of my rejected experimented ideas. Then resave your template. Also you have a buy EA on and that is a sell trade. I also see that no EA is attached to the chart so you need to get the buy EA with the buy screen.

The "2,4,2" rescue system seems interesting concept, I've been reading a up on it.

For example I have the following trade:
L1 0.02
L2 0.04
L3 0.08

- For 2,4,2 rescue at what lot size should I start with for 1st entry?

- any recommended tp for each rescue level?

the moment the 1st entry for 2,4,2 trade is made the first trade will be closed to maintain limited number of trades.

I want to sort out the logic and attempt to code a "2,4,2" rescue EA.
