Since the first post Paulus has changed her (HIS) indicators many many times. Why? If they all worked just fine they wouldnt wouldn't change.WISH I WAS WRONG!!! I do wish everyone the best of luck with these ind's.

As Edge has often said, this is a pure probabilaties game. Some you win, some you lose. Yes, Vorticity repaints sometimes, sometimes it does not. Because of the algorithm it uses it cannot do anything else.
But the idea is not to win every battle, it is to win the war. And I can assure you that the odd bad trade taken through an unfortunate repaint is well compensated for the big wins.
First trade of the week attached. 49 pips on EJ (short). SL at pivot above, TP a few pips above pivot below. Vorticity gave a perfect entry and did...

Of course Im going to look for more then one system. Having traded Forex for many years you should be on the prowl for more systems!!!! Each system is like a tool in the tool box! Forex changes and what worked today doesnt mean it will work tomorrow. I try to have a number of systems that work not just one. Actually, there is a reason to not just having one. That is do you want to trade for 10 hours a day? 5 min a day? Do you work full time Etc....

what indicators and settings are you using? What settings do youo have in the ma crossover indicator? What do you look for in a trade?

it's basically the same setup then Edge. HA candles, but I overlap them with bars as I like to see the candle size. 14 LWMA and the cross of 7 LWMA with 14 LWMA and the Trix indi from the THV thread... like it more then the basic Trix.
Thats it. if PA goes above 14 LWMA, HA are white and trix is crossing above and green... time to enter. The rest is my Trade Management EA doing

Please remember that use of these indys is entirely optional!! If you don't like them, just go back to whatever successful scheme you have used for years. If it is successful, why look for something else anyway???

I like your work, your ideas and your attitude!
To my mind, the TGV works very well at hourly charts of GBPUSD. If somebody has doubts then I would suggest to use Heiken Ashi candles with the indicator to get more confirmation of the trend change. But this is already spoiling the nice thread, so I stop it here
About repainting. - If it repaints, so what... The point is that the market does not move only on technicals but also on fundamentals and emotions. And you cannot avoid moves to the "wrong" direction with any indicators, repainting or not.
Repainting of course makes it impossible to backtest the system properly but - should we concentrate on backtesting or testing? I think testing is better. Although majority of guys here probably never trade, otherwise they could not have time for 1000+ indicators

eg just dropped below weekly pivot. anyone trading the h1 have any ideas for entering a trade?
if using edgetraders words I would say that the vorticity having three bars in the same color is the primer but a reliable trigger is still needed.
i thought about waiting everytime and enter the trade, when it comes down 20 pips, so that I can make 20 pips more than originally if I would have entered right away and so I can cut my sl by 20, thus having a higher risk reward ratio.
anyone has some good entry strategy that works for them?
I just entered a gbpusd trade one hour ago after the close of the 3rd vorticity bar, and like often, price went against me first. now its in the green again.
I have included a chart, I only chart with mt4, so my entry is the blue horizontal line. I am trading this system live on oanda.
