Interesting things going on with that Australian plate. Seems to be moving at break neck speed lately. Glad I don't live in California, lots of stress needing to be relieved where those to come together!

There has never been a fire from thousands of gallons of JET FUEL in a high rise before. That's where the melted iron came from and what caused the collapse of both towers. Jet fuel burns at a couple thousand degrees. That's what weakened the steel and the weight of the upper 30 or so floors collapsed straight down. Again, something that never happened before in a high rise.

This conspiracy theory is complete garbage. If for no other reason (and there are many) than the fact that with all those Honest, hard working and dedicated New York fire fighters cleaning it all up. If they had found even ONE scrap of demolitions, you can bet your butt someone would have said something.

This is without a doubt false and easy to prove. Jet fuel is 9/10 kerosene. It's properties are well known and it does NOT burn that hot, not even close. Not to mention the FACT that only 2 of the 3 buildings had planes and fuel involved.

Your also missing an important point. The buildings were made of steel, not iron. Iron is a component of steel. Melting steel does not produce iron. The molted iron is/was a byproduct of a thermite reaction.

Listen closely to both the arguments for and against. Only one of them is rational and has science not emotion driving them. This and the global warming propaganda share strikingly similar traits.

I will say this though, The word "iron" was a mistype by me. I meant steel as I said in the other line you quoted. Having worked with jet fuel, I know how hot it can burn under the right conditions such as the high winds up there that day. I lost two very close friends in the north tower that day. Almost my brother who stopped working there just 6 months prior. I have three very good friends who are NYFD and all of them told me not one single credible statement was EVER made by any of them as you claim "many have". Show me one shred of credible evidence (other than some clip from the left wing propaganda machine aimed solely at destroying the Bush administration) that backs up those claims. Via PM of course as I won't post to this anymore in this thread.

I respect this thread and those in it as much as any. This is as important (I'd say much more so) than the Global Warming/energy bill. I am posting to try to affect change through opinion. That can't be done via PM.

Then you must know that there is a maximum temp at which fuel can burn given ideal conditions.

I too lost family. I have seen and heard the statements myself, some of them from the grave, as you know many of the first responders are now dead. Statement obviously prove nothing, I only mention them since it seems important to you. Not hard to find them if your interested.

This is not a left/right wing Bush thing. There are thousands of scientists, pilots and engineers working to expose this. I have been active in this movement since 2002. I WAS a registered Republican and can say with certainty that the truth movement originated from the right wing.

hi yawl, this is maybe a dumb q. but i thought we were being blamed for the hole in the ozone layer and that is what is causing the globial warming issues and polar ice melting etc.?? if that is the case i dont see that as too difficult to be our fault considering the amounts of pollution we make??
i once read an article from green peace which compared the age of the earth to the age of a man....
the earth i believe is about 64,000,000,000 years old, if we compare that to a 64 year old man i believe apes evolved into man about 2 1/2 hours ago, the industrial revolution happened about 30 seconds ago. in this 30 seconds look at the damage we have done!!! we think aids is a killer!!the details may be a little off here but it makes the point!

sorry again if this is way off ,i dont take much interest in individual issues as i believe in order to SOLVE any of these issues they have to taken as a whole and be understood that they are symptoms of the problems of man not the problem itself or the root cause?
Also considering light has no relative speed (we are told)and as that to me is impossible it kind of makes me wonder what in the hell we do know??im sure in the near future science will have many different answers than it does today.

Matty and Mike, I posted before seeing you comments. Sorry for disturbing you. I just don't see how this is anymore complicated or controversial than Climate Change. If it is troubling there is a reason. How do we gain control of our Country if educated people of means are not even able to have a discussion without falling into emotion or worse yet denying speech? I'm done, just want it out there for those willing to look.

I heard that too, I guess it happens for a few hours every year over the north or the south pole eh?

Anyways the point is that this is more because of natural influence of an inevitable climatic change than any artificial manly influence. I was introduced to this concept today and it shocked me...this is one matter I'll be really looking into just for my personal general knowledge.

HAHAH. The ozone was being depleted by CFC's. Dupont's (or was it DOW) patent was expiring and they needed a market for their newly patented replacement. Couldn't have the competition selling generic CFC's and see all their research for a replacement not payoff.

I have done that and been erased. I'm sure that's coming here as well. I guarantee you the warming talk is offending some as well. As Jim put it so well. I know this bothers people, oh well, it's important.
