Hi Sonic

I have just installed the indicators and the template you have created.
Thank you!

I am using interbankfx, I believe they are exactly GMT, what adjustments would I need to make to the indicators to make this line up?

many thanks again

It is profitable, It's great, but how come you didn't get stoped at that €/$ false buy signal at 10:15{your time} wich went up 3-4 pips and then another one false sell at 10:45; Or you did maybe;Or maybe you put a buffer on a couple of pips on your orders? After that it all went well

I never had any SL's not when I am watching the account. And what pair you referring to; USD/CHF? that only went against me by 40 odd pips before coming back down. And since EUR/USD and GBP/USD were on their way up, swissy had to come down since it's a highly correlated pair.

Oh, btw guys, been doing some back testing (I got bored). It's nice to see a visual representation going back as many days as you want. Hats off to the guy who made it.

Any how. In another thread there's a variation of the strategy that works REALLY well I must add too. I suggested in that thread to not only use US open, but, if you are awake during the UK open, to try that out as well.

I ran some back tests and the results are pretty good, but the main thing I wanted to share was, whether or not people had noticed this or not? There's a range figure on the indicator as well. What I found interesting was that this range was hit about 70% of the time going back over 30 days having the setting set to 12 midnite to 2am EDT hours, ready for the 3am UK open.
1am to 3am looks ok too.

So if you're awake early enough, one can get in on both and put the indicator on the following pairs:

EUR/USD
GBP/USD
USD/CHF
USD/JPY
AUD/USD
USD/CAD
NZD/USD
---------
GBP/JPY???? not really tested.

Any way, doing this for twice a day, should at least yield approx 30 pips x 7 currency pairs = 210 pips, done twice a day 420 pips a day. x 5 days = 2100 pips a week, x 4 weeks 8400 pips a month.

Set TP to the total range.
Set SL to half the range.

IF SL gets hit, enter a new order, as I have seen some trades go back in the general direction it went in, so it's possible to turn that trade back into a break-even trade or even profit from it a little after taking the losses into effect.

IF orders are not executed within 6 hours, delete all orders.

If we were to act based on a monthly success rate of approx 70%, approx 5,600 pips a month could be made from all the pairs mentioned above.

If one is a little more technical and can trade like a pro, move TP's rather than letting them be hit IF, IF you know it's gonna keep going in the general direction it's going in. Target the next support or resistance level. This can boost your earnings to a point of 8k pips a month.

Sounds nice on paper though

Either way, I'm going to try and aim for 3,000 pips next month and report back my findings

Hi,

I have been using the Big Dog system successfully for the past 6 months.

I trade only every Monday. For some reason, Mondays seem a good day to use this strategy.

Anyone experimented using something similar?

Do yoou use the system as originally presented or did you modify it? Thanks
we cannot succeed without a well defined risk management.

Hi Bosun2007,

No modifications made. Used it as it is. I like to keep things simple.

Never had more then 2 consecutive losses. R:R is slightly more then 1:1 because of spred but even then, has been profitable so far.

Last two weeks has been a loser on EUr/Usd though. So next Monday I am pretty sure it will be a win. Lets see if Im right.
