Not sure if Paulus has changed it recently for the 1 min. I don't recall having seen him mention a change in those settings. So I use 50/5 for the TM on the 1 min.

One question if I may in reltion to Vorticity indy. If it is used on the 1h tf, does repainting become less of an issue than that experienced on the shorter times of 1m and 5m, or will it repaint to the same extent.

Hi,

You are not alone!! There is a small group of traders who PM me quite a lot who find the M5/M1 just chop and whipsaw, and can't make it happen for them.

They really favour the H1 and are having good success. Some use just the HG_0001a (or the higher sensitivity version for faster entries) and the TM for trailing stops. Or, as you say, you can use Vorticity by itself. If you have the right stop you can trade the H1 quite safely and yet catch some of the monster trends when they happen.

No, you didn't miss it!! I only PM'd it to a few folk who specifically wanted to try the H1. Obviously being a couple of bars late on the M1 might not make much difference, but on H1 it can be 100+ pips!!

High Sens version attached for those who want to try.

The Vorticity can always repaint up to 2 bars because the span of the Lanczos differentiator is 5 bars and so the "middle" of the span is 2 bars previous to the current. This is the same irrespective of timeframe.

However, the HG_0001a doesn't repaint. So I use both (belt and braces!) but have found that if you go in when the Vorticity changes you are right far more often than not.

I am in close touch with two traders who have great success with this method on the H1.

the indicator you just attached is crasing my platform unfortunately.

Do you know what might be the reason ?
As far as I know my MT4platform is up to date.

I am really struggling with the M5/M1 system, but doing fine on the H1. I went short on EU at 1.4111 at 0900 GMT this morning and set TP=1.4007, 5 pips above the Daily Pivot (1.4002).

Just touched 1.4004 before bouncing. How's that for not wasting pips!

Looks like an exodus is forming that will take a journey into the higher TF's. In the meantime, early trades available to get account goals covered for the day. Time to look at the 1H I suppose.

Will wait for Paul to complete the 1M material also. All kinds of options here.

Scalping and swing trading quite comfortably however I still can't make my mind up about the HV v2 or v3! Which do you use?

Can I ask what you are using to trade the 1hr ? When I look at my 1hr chart on EU at 9gmt, HG_0001a was still signalling blue as was MTF. Only signal for short was given with Vorticity. Do you use this alone for signals on H1.

you are doing great, once price goes below or above a pivot point, target the next pivot point, i usually keep my TP 5-6 pips below as sometimes it just barely touches the pivots, so better to loose 5-6 pips than loosing out on 50 pips

If you trade on 5 minutes (hu hu mad scalping allowed ), you should have a daily SMALL OBJECTIVE pips, let's say 10 or 20. That's sound bad, but with correct mm and compounding a little, that's sounds good.

You make your day on the morning and after you can go to h1 timeframe, but you can't scalp all day (say 15 or 18 hours).

BUT, every trader is different, if 1 hour suits to you, stay in

I got the same signal as you, I'm using TM from Paulus' first thread and looking at both the regular and HS version of HG indicator and didn't get short signal either.

I use HV 2.0 on the H1, together with pivots. That's all. I didn't know there was a version 3 of HV?!?!

I don't look exactly like Natalie Dormer, but close enough in a poor light...
