I followed the rules: TF was LONG + HG M1 LONG and HG MTF all LONG...so i entered LONG but i had to close it because TF was SHORT and HG M1 was short...

Short

1 min goes red and matches either the 5 or/and 15 min


Long

1 min goes blue and matches either 5 or/and 15 min


What happen with the trade was that the 5 and 15 min went blue matching the 1 min. And then there was not pull back on the 1 min turning it red. So there was no " 1 min goes blue and matches either 5 or/and 15 min
" because it was already blue..... So best to have waited for the pull back to have happened before entering(1 min turning red and then waiting for it to turn blue).

Hi Haojzh

you dont have any problem at all. The same thing happened to me, check EU, EG, and EJ charts, you will notice that around that same period, all of them made that same up move which later turned around downward.

That was an effect of Euro event b4 UK settles in and change the direction

But as soon as I was stopped out in EG, I quickly reversed my position based on HG_0001 which turned red and now I am up +35 on it

Look at TH Vorticity indicator combined with Trend magic alone on 1hr TF

You are not alone!! There is a small group of traders who PM me quite a lot who find the M5/M1 just chop and whipsaw, and can't make it happen for them.

They really favour the H1 and are having good success. Some use just the HG_0001a (or the higher sensitivity version for faster entries) and the TM for trailing stops. Or, as you say, you can use Vorticity by itself. If you have the right stop you can trade the H1 quite safely and yet catch some of the monster trends when they happen.

Not sure if Paulus has changed it recently for the 1 min. I don't recall having seen him mention a change in those settings. So I use 50/5 for the TM on the 1 min.
