pimpmutt why not read his blog clearly you haven't read his latest posts. He got his money back but only upto the time they froze his account they did'nt reimburse him for the trades they froze and the 120k he lost in that process He's changed to FXCM once again please read his latest post where he talks about it. As far as I know he's still with FXCM no problems so far.

The other guy is with fxsol, I don't really know anything about that broker so I can't comment.

I was on etoro when all this happened, and was following along. I never traded with fxsol so no idea about that.

I haven't read through the whole thing but I don't think they froze any trades did they, it was his account they froze pending their inspection. They're saying he closed the trades himself, that's what their logs tell them. He's saying he didn't close the trades, their sysem did. Obviously neither you nor I know which account is true.

No problems? Other than the ones I read complaining about no telephone support for micro accounts, and the time it takes to credit funds to his account........when I got to the bit about him getting a margin call I lost interest and gave up reading it.


It's all a bit academic anyway, from what's been posted about this incident no-one can say one way or the other whether the company 'play dirty', but anyone with even half a clue about what they're doing wouldn't have an account with a company like that in the first place.

LOL! - I played with that demo for a while just to watch the races!! - Next version should have aliens vs. humans and other scenarios. VERY Kool!! - They need to let the MT5 User Interface be open for plugins so we can get wacky stuff like that.

etoro has a live weekly trading challenge where the post the competition results in real time from sunday night when the competition starts till friday night when weekly trading closes and the final results are declared.

This is just like the ibfx or any other trading contests except this is weekly instead of monthly and the total dollar value is shown instead of the percentage increase of the week. You can monitor the competition throughout the week...

Hey forexplayer wish you had asked me this a couple of months ago, etoro only has records from dec2008

why not ask him directly in his blog but I very much doubt he'll reply such traders are very low profile they probably won't even claim to be profitable, their loners, social outcasts lol haha, only reason he started the blog is because of being hounded by pm's for mentoring and tips. anyway you can try to ask him he may just reply I don't know and later he even stopped that but used it more of a redressal system to get ppl to know about etoro's unfair practices. My guess is he was hoping the bad publicity would force etoro to pay him what they owed him. i'm not sure

I'm not disputing that bucketshops manipulate everything to their own advantage but you haven't posted any 'detailed proof' to support your claim that some shops "stop you from making profits if you win big".

eToro froze his account while RetailFX conducted an inspection. Funds were returned to him with the exception of losses from trades which he claimed he hadn't made.

All sounds perfectly reasonable to me, there's nothing to suggest anything underhand.

Anyway just one last thing I wasn't going to reply but I'll just say this. If what you say is true it must be a magic platform he had 25 open positions and they were all closed in minute as per the timestamp As you're aware etroro is a very primitive platform although they have made some improvements this year. You can't run api's so you have to close all positions manually. It can not be done in 1 minute.

Please show me anything which substantiates or corroborates those figures other than numbers quoted by this 'trader' on his blog.

Please show me where RetailFX said they froze his account because of "some malpractice" as you have stated.

Please show me which trades eToro 'froze' as you claim.

Please show me how eToro manipulated his account as you claim.

Please show anything which substantiates or corroborates your claim that it was eToro who closed trades without the client's agreement.

Alpari (UK) Limited are good brokers. Never had a problem making money or withdrawing profits.

Also, they are regulated by the FSA. So upto GBP 55,000 of my account funds are gauranteed by the UK Government. I dont know if this applies to none UK residents but just email them and they will tell you.

Basically, if Alpari (UK) go bankcrupt then upto GBP 55,000 of my money is safe on deposit.

But check your status with them if outside the UK.

PS. They also allow hedging and stop/limit orders.
