The Trix is an excellent indicator, every inch the equal of FX Scalper. And it has the HUGE advantage of NO REPAINT! Trix or to give its full name "Triple Exponential" is based on the pioneering mathematics of the great R. G. Brown. I have a first edition of his classic book which I refer to a lot.

I think there are infinitesimal difference between periods HG_0001a (Hour), sometimes.

In this case , exist opportunities for Long or Short , independent of color.

What is the best time frame for these Trix EA's and you trading with them?

I put the 2 indicators on a chart and if the little colored arrows that appear are supposed to be the long and short signals .. they are not too accurate on the 5 min. As to the graph, it seems to be lagging a lot so either I'm on the wrong tf with it .. or I need to learn how to read it!

I've attached a pic of Edge's sreenshot of his Trix setup. His is at 4, 14, not the default, also, if you turn off the signal in the indy selectio it will open up the view a little better to see the Trix signals.
Hope this helps out.

Hello ppl.
Thanks to all for this live thread with very interesting and promising strategy.
Can anyone explain or give me a link where i can find out about how to read information from the Trix indicator. Also I ve read all the thread and found out that there are a few different setups and modifications. For example Edgetrader gives also good setup of indies for multiplatform trades. Maybe it is possible to post them in the firsts post?

The focus again, has been diverted trix or no trix I took a ride on EG and GU yesterday and the result of that jolly ride is

+149 green fresh pips,

only on two trades. Using only HG_a and HG_mtf and TM was the rein with which I rode.

Believe it or not we are a group of six traders doing the same thing and we have never found FX so simple.

KISS is the key, but it is the hardest part of it, just as EDGE's signature says

The TRIX indi is widely used by cobra scalper and his team - look into the THV threads (both manual trading and EA).
