Thanks actionpl hmm, no time for simulator we are doing this on a live account driving it long on GU, a lot of greens, ha ha ha. Thanks once again Actionpl and Samurai.

Before anything I just want to say a big thank you to Samuria and Actionpl for all the great contributions as per this EA. This is one of the best EA I have come across and I must say I'm making money on my live account with it. Earlier this week I started playing with some settings on the EA on my Demo account, this is what I came up with and I decided to let it run so I can see the outcome. The EA is set to trade fully automatic (both long and short).

NOTE: I'm not recommending this setting to be traded on a live account, it's just a setting i'm trying out and needs to be tested for some time.

I am not have the same results in "strategy tester". Can you post your *.set file?

Click on the little paper clip at the top right corner. There you will find all the files you need.

First I want to thank Samurai and Actionpl. I have learned allot from your generous contributions. In testing EA vs1_5b with EU on the simulator I have a question with the "UpTrend_Close_Alert_" TD command. I chose the period 2009 06 11 - 2009 06 12. After setting the "Main_UpTrend_Alert_" on the daily chart the simulator generated four buys. I had set the "Close_" at a level that would force trades to close just after the fourth buy. When PA reached the "Close_" , trading stopped. Buys #1 and #3 closed and #2 and #4 did not close, but their stops readjusted by the Reduce_factor. I tried again, this time adjusting the "Close_" level to allow three trades. This time buys #1 and #3 closed and buy #2 did not close. Again I adjusted the "Close" level to allow only two trades. #1 buy closed and #2 did not. Is there a problem? Seems that the even number buys are not closing. Thanks for your attention. Regards.

I know this is a little off topic, but I am sure there is a smart person here somewhere that will know the answer.

I have this problem with Windows XP, when I am running an EA on metatrader, during the week sometime, XP will automatically update itself from microsoft somehow, afterwhich shut it self down, and then re-start, but when it does that it kills metatrader, and then I have to start metatrader again with the EA.

I looked in scheduler tasker in systems tools, and don't see this task or option, can someone please PM me if they have any idea how I can stop this function so when it downloads these updates it waits for a manual restart instead of a automatic one???

Or does it also in a "normal manner" separatelly? I was in profit 70 pips,
Trailling Stop=40, TStrigger=20, Trailing Stop Flag=true, no trend lines in a graph, and my stoploss hasn't changed.

"does the "TS" change the "Stop Loss" in coordination with "Take Profit" and "TS trigger" ONLY as described in "FB EA Settings" YES, it does so only at the beginning of every 5 min if your "Chart_Time_Frame" variable is set at 5.

You can see when the TS is turn on, the following way. When the TS is trig in accordance to your TS trigger, your trade will not have a T/P (Take profit) number under this col.

Your right Inquisitor, you have discover a bug with the Close_ function.
Thanks to point it to me. I've fixed it but still need to validate the software.
Version 1.5b will close only trades that are with an impair number, 1,3,5 if you have many trades open and you hit a trendline with "Close_" in it.

Version 1.5c will fix this problem and i will improve the trailing stop feature as well in order to monitor trades in real time and not only at the beginning of every trading period as 1.5b does.

Hi Samurai and ActionPl and all others,

Not sure whether this has cropped-up somewhere else in this or other threads.

The attached screen shots show my live trading using Vs 1-3B. "Short" trades initiate trades very quickly, and after closing of one, the next is initiated sometimes within 2 - 3 pips, whereas "Long" trades seem to take forever to enter trades. I think there is a logic error in the EA. Maybe I'm wrong?

I have marked the start /end time blocks during the times i traded. No changes made to settings in long or short trades, only the driver to trade in the direction required. Also, no difference between currency pairs which is why I show results of 3 x pairs.

I set the TP to 15 pips, with max orders 2, earlier trades with SL 300, later with SL 60, so as to quickly check my theory. Chart_Time_Frame = 5, MA_Length = 10, MA_timeframe = 10, Percent = 0.05, PipStep = 40.

Have been testing Vs 1_5b concurrently on the demo system, same settings and this has the same flaw.

Thanks for your review. Can you post chart of vs 1.5b, that the current version with no trenline with Close_ or Trailling stop feature on.

Hi AndyM-pips, i notice that you use MA_timeframe =10, you can not do that. Valid timeframe in Metatrader are
1,5 , 15 , 30 ,60 , 240 .
So if you use other than what it is shown above, you can't predict how this will work. Try with 15, you will see a much better responce.
