TP was placed a few pips under last swing high @ 1.6472.

Daily chart is in uptrend so this is inline with the overall trend.

This place is BEAUTIFUL, went on game drive yesterday afternoon. Damn driver pulled up right to 3 cheetahs and they did not enjoy it.

It is looking good so far but the testing data represents only 1 trading day on this account.

The other 2 started on Monday is running at 90%. Approximately 9% return per day.

It is too early to jump to conclusions but hopefully something useful can be gained after 20-30 trading days.

I have seen so many different charts and indicators for this system, I dread to look for the system indicators.

Could some kind soul post the indicators, preferably with a template and the entry and exit rules, briefly.

Here is my brief attempt to define entry rules. This has only been tested on the hourly charts. I have used it for the past couple of days and it has successfully filtered false signals.

EURUSD hourly chart (Daily chart is in an uptrend)

TM = Trend Magic
HV = Hydrodynamic Vorticity

Entry rules:
Long
HV turns blue. Wait for TM to turn blue. Enter long.
Short
HV turns red. Wait for TM to to turn red. Enter short

Aggressive traders may enter when HV changes color and not wait for the TM to catch up. However, you will be subject to more false signals.

Number Comment

 

  1. HV turned red. TM is still blue. No signal
  2. HV turns blue. TM still blue. Enter long
  3. HV turns red. TM still blue. Exit long or hold (preferable)
  4. HV turns blue. TM still blue. Enter long or add to existing order
  5. HV turns red. TM still blue. Exit or hold.
  6. HV turns blue. TM still blue. Enter
  7. HV turns red. TM turns red. Exit all longs. Open short (counter trend trade. Daily is up so your trading against the trend. keep profit targets short or use HV to exit. When HV turns blue exit counter trend trades)
  8. HV turns blue. TM still red. Exit short trade
  9. HV turns red. TM turns red. Enter short.
  10. HV turns blue. TM still red. Exit short.
  11. HV is already blue so there is no 11 there. However,TM has now caught up to the HV and changed blue. Enter.
  12. HV turns red. TM still blue. No signal for entry
  13. HV turns blue. TM turns blue. Enter long
  14. HV turns red. TM still blue. Exit partial order or hold.
  15. HV turns blue. TM still red. No signal.
  16. HV turns red. TM still red. Enter short. (small profit target)
  17. HV turns blue. TM still red. Exit short. No long entry.
  18. HV turns red. TM turns red. Enter short.

When HV and TM change color at the same time (i.e. 18) the
price move is very powerful.

My trading strategy is simple.

I use HG, HG MTF, TM, and the new Vorticity.

Entries are very similar to Paulus' but I use the main bar (HG) for entry, along with a 5m, 15m and/or 30m MTF with the same color to confirm.

Exits have been tricky and I have come up with a couple strategies based on how conservative...
I agree 100% I see it repaint a few times this Morning but its great for exits and trend change warnings but its not a signal to trade. My exits are done with Semafor, been great so far. Cannot believe the Day when I would be worried about exits! TG & P rule the forum boards !!!!!

I mentioned recently that the pattern on the HGMTF reminded me of the old space invaders arcade game.

It was half in jest but there is no reason why a trend pattern shouldn't be a signal.

A similar pattern occurred today on the beast and the same price behaviour occurred, a decent climb up.

I'll keep an eye on it and see if there's any way it can be used...
