james16 Chart Thread
Anyone watching the EURGBP H4 inside bars? Been in a strong downtrend for the last few days
I'm already into that trade, but for a different perspective....
I saw a break to the dowside with a 1 bar pull-back to retest breakout levels and after that a confirmation....
My stoploss is above the pull-back aspect.....
Hoping for a south travel to the GBPEUR today....
At 10:30 (spanish hour) there is the "Consumer Inflation Expectations" for GBP, but anyway.....
How do you deal with news anouncements?...
Did you pay any attention to them, having any kind of especial behaviour previously to their anouncements, such as don't enter in a trade before x amount of time before or something like this?...

thats kind of you old buddy but let me be honest. not modest just honest.
first thanks for giving me a segway. i always use the old timers for segways because they know im not yelling at them. they also know i like to vent from time to time so here i go. after my internet problems all day im itching to rant for some reason.
master of what?
master of a few silly bars, several years learning simple s/r, never allowing large losses, a decent sized account that allows me to be real real picky AND TRADING WITH A BUSINESS LIKE APPROACH WHICH MEANS NO REAL MONEY UNTIL I KNOW I CAN DO IT?
OK OK i guess im the master. im even master of my domain for the most part at my age.
to this day i sit and stare at those words when i type them coming FROM ME and wonder what the hell i was thinking and doing those long 8 years i acted like a drunken gambler?
it literally makes me shake my head in disbelief that i could have acted like that for so long and lost so much money jumping from countless system after system with real money and zero practice.
buy it - trade it - lose it - find another one.
buy it - trade it - lose it - find another one.
over and over and over.
everytime i would feel stupid and totally defeated. i would think ....there material swears it works, they have all these people that swear it works, i did it just like they told me to, i gave it a good two weeks...lol, now i gotta go save another 5 grand and maybe the next one will be my ticket out.
please oh please anyone reading this please dont do that to yourself.
whats the big secret to making it happen?
very simple.
WHATEVER WAY YOU DECIDE TO TRADE. MY WAY OR DONALD DUCKS WAY GIVE IT YOUR TOTAL DEDICATION FOLLOWING THE OUTLINE IN POST 1.
it will either work or it wont but you dont have to ruin your life finding out.
all those years might not have been profitable for me while i was on my journey but they damn sure did not have to be miserable.
those years could have been a fun and enjoyable journey but i was an idiot.
yes i paid my dues but doggonit folks what we do here is not hard.

I'm going through a bad patch of exams, so I might not b able to express my appreciation on June 17.
Just wanted to say, this thread changed my whole approach to trading. It made me believe that I can have a trading business. Yes, I joined the PF for a bit(had to quit cos personal stuff made me take a few months complete break from trading) and the things I learnt from there just speeded up my learning curve like crazy. It's great to hear the voices of reason (experienced traders) advising newbies on all kinds of things, not least psychology & moneymanagement
Thanks for everything. I don't know how you have the energy to do all this Jim, you're really giving back at the world.

im going to bed. its been a crazy night in north texas with storms. yes we are used to them but tonight was a hum dinger. thats texas speak for one bad ass son of a bitch thunderstorm. forgive me if thats profain but its actually a true translation.
trees and fences down all over my street and county. one ladies chickens were spotted 300 feet in the air stripped bare of there feathers. seriously. crazed dogs running the streets. they always do that during these storms, not sure why. i guess there just freaked out.
two tornadoes 15 miles north of me and a few hundred thousand people sweating in bed tonight woth no ac power.
i actually dont understand those folks. my ac just has to hiccup during a storm and im headed for a nice hotel with a decent breakfast the following morning.
my kids love it when the lights go out.

i'm from Asia, & i dream of tornado/hurricane watching/catching someday.
seriously, the weather disturbances have a peculiar way off "missing" certain spots along their path. i'm pretty confident that my/our big Boss above will maintain it that way in your case. bet them hum dingers will miss u by "100 - 1000 pips". my

i can deal with the possibility of a big one during the day but at night its a whole different ball game.
they used to tell people here years ago no matter how bad one might be to just take cover in your house.
after the f5 hit ok city a few years back they had to change that because people realised just how stupid that was.
those that ran made it. those that didnt were anialated. nothing left but concrete foundations. they never found some people. same thing in jerrel texas a few years back. wichita falls in 1978 also. google them.

But these posts "or rants" and the many like it, have probably made more of a difference in my trading then a James16 chart. And I know it has for many many others.
I think your are coming closer to answering your signature then you think, Jim.

I almost forgot about this one Dale. Once I grabbed 53 pips on the 1st half and put the 2nd half to break even and forgot about it.
