Your deep into a short trend, so yes you might need to look at a few other filters and TF's for entry.

Absolutely Amazing!

Thank You Paulus and Anne....I saw and read through all the posts here and have a fair idea of the rules. I am an absolute noob when it comes to trading, but you have made it really simple to trade.

I have opened a demo account and have been running tests on it. Just for today I did 150 pips...I will be running it for the next week and then once I am happy that I have the rules bedded down I will go live.

The 2 of you have done an amazing thing here! THANK YOU once again!!!

Be careful not to get lulled into thinking you've found the holy grail because you made so much money today! Today was a very trendy downtrend day on EURUSD. You were very lucky; every day isn't like this where you hop on a trend and it just keeps going.

While the latest indi by Anne does repaint, I wouldn't ignore it just yet. When it appears, it could signify a change. Keeping track of it on a 5 minute chart on 5 pairs, I note it does give a reversal within a few bars after it shows. I have also noted that it can repaint two bars previous to where it first appeared. In other words, if it first shows at 12:00, it can repaint to 11:55 and 11:50 from what I've seen. I haven't noticed it go more than 2 bars back yet. When looking at it on a chart, bear in mind that the appearance may be two bars better than it really was. BUT, even at that, it's a good tool to have to be on the alert.

Agreed. I have it on my charts. When you see it flashing to another color it is time to beware maybe lock in some profits or get out before the loss gets worse. It is a useful tool with this system.

Eg short trade when the 5m MTF TG turned red in line with the 15m and 30m. The 1m is blue but I don't use it on 5m trades. It was a 10 pip profit fairly quickly for NY afternoon trading.

Well it seems to work across practically all markets - both choppy and trending. It's the low range, low volitility markets that may cause problems.

I will say that you can use fairly tight stops with this system. Getting stopped out a few times in a row, while disheartening, would be perfectly OK with tight stops. Tighter stops = higher reward:risk ratio, always a good thing.

That is true, but I have not made it all in one go. Also I trade with 0.1 of a lot and have good stoploss and Take Profit targets. I trade with a TP of 30 pips. Once made, I look for the next scalp. My mental strength is not there yet to trade 100 or more pips in one go on one currency pair.

I also know that trading forex, nothing is certain, but this Anne's indi and Paulus' rules, It does bring a measure of certainty...I also use a bit of common sence and use sites like Forexfactory.com, fxstreet.com and fx360.com to assist with technical and fundemental analysis.

In other words, I do my homework

do you use a autotrader to get your entries with rangebars ?

I looked at them a while ago , they really smooth out the trends but I found with small rangr bars I was missing entries as price would spike up and a few bars would be formed in a second.

The TG HV just turned blue. Indicating a move upwards. The TM was still blue after a quick pullback. All 4 bars on the TG HG are blue. Entry valid.

Entry @ 1.6358
SL @ 1.6307 for a risk of 50 pips
TP @ 1.6468 for a reward of 110 pips. This equals a R:R of 1:2.16

TP was placed a few pips under last swing high @ 1.6472.

Daily chart is in uptrend so this is inline with the overall trend.

True. As I mentioned previously EURJPY was my favorite because I can catch both currencies in open markets. However, I will not alienate other currencies either. The EURUSD is still the most volatile currency because traders around the world, in other markets as well, trade these.
