My stop was more agressive. Got taken out @ 1.3864.

imho, if 1.3865 doesn't hold, i believe u will be taken out.

I got a buy signal at 156.75 area, since i had just setup charts and was too tired, did not take it, otherwise it would have been my entry , apart from the fact that it found good support on 200ema on 5 min on my system.

5 mins gave signal at 156.46 area

What exactly triggered a long here for you?
My indi was blue for quite a while. My guess is that either 30m or 60m went from red to blue. With 5m and 15m already in place. Do I assume right?

Just found your thread and I must say I'm very impressed with what you and Trader Girl have put together.

Took my first trade today for 67 pips on an EU short. Thanks for your efforts in helping other traders. Please ignore the other indicators, I use them with another system.

GBPJPY has hit the average trading range for the day.

The trade was worth about 40-50 pips depending on your fill.

I am in with 3 lots.

Closed 1 @ 35 and 1 @ 41

Will close the last one with TS 20

It has been a good day for trading, I am glad to see so many traders actively trading this system.

Bad trade on EUR/USD, maybe are other pairs better for this system. What i've seen the GBP/JPY GBP/USD EUR/GBP are better.

The trouble is I would like to put in a target and leave my computer and cant with this. I would like to find a way to do that - might try the old murray maths lines for targets as mentioned by someone earlier.
well, i can vouch for that, lol

but trading these charts naked, makes it more better

I don't see that, would be grateful if you could elaborate.

Had a buy signal some time ago (my 5min on HG is at top) and 3rd blue square (30min) recently but nothing current that I can see?

2nd Edit: Stopped out. Suggests HG indicator should take precedence over set SL. Not exactly a representative sample but sort of confirms my inclination anyway... More trades will tell...
I had similar. Get a long trade, with all of the rules, but stopped out It doesn't matters, EVERYONE system genaerates a losing trades! But win% of Annie's and Paulus has GREAT!! The best, what I seen

EDIT: now trading EURGBP, GBPUSD and USD JPY, everywhere in greens (CABLE 60 pips, EURGBP 12 pips, UJ (now) -1 pips - (spread trap )

its all thanks for you who has given us the confidence to trade the charts with minimal indicators, and it surely is helping us come out of our shells after using tons of indicators

i just am sticking to the 60/200 ema combo for finding support/resistance, and pivots to know the direction and TP Points. Is that ok or do you think even this can be removed

Been up all night for this, and I think I may be done for the day.

A couple of things....

One is that as with all MTF indies, visual backtesting is not the way to go. Spent the weekend reviewing charts, matching things up, and as soon as the market opened, I could see the indicator signals were quite a bit different. Good news is, better live than historical IMO.

Second, trying a few things a bit differently than the method layed out by Paulus. I made a point to trade the asian session, simply because I wanted to test in a choppy or low volatility environment. I am in agreement with Paulus to avoid this as a general rule, but for testing purposes, there will be similiar environments during "prime" trading hours. Not to detract from the thread or method, but I am assuming the reason for having everyone testing is to test different things. I will keep tabs on what I am doing and see how it turns out by the end of the week.

Short summary of the evening/night for me on GBPJPY (the only one I watched tonight) -

2 lots per trade

Shorts
+15 / +47
+15 / -7
+15 / +30

Longs
+15 / still in progress, over 100 pips at the moment

If closing out here, that would be 230 pips on 2 lots, or 115/lot. I will take that every day of the week. Think I am going to get some sleep.

The point of this post? That this works, in several different ways. Keep at it, and I think everyone will be very happy with what they are able to accomplish.

I was thinking to get on the long when it closed below TM and closing above again the next candle, a few candles before your signal. I missed it, but I entered that way on cable at 15924 which is showing a healthy +60 right now.
If anyone could help, I would appreciate it. I have read through the entire thread, but have not been able to load the HG_0001a_MTF.ex4 successfully. It continues to crash the platform.
Is there any settings or updates i need to do? My Mt4 platform is updated to 220 Build.

I am using Interbankfx as my broker. Thank you for a reply.
