I just saw something adventerous....

I'm in a coupla trades and I saw a message pop up "failed to cancel order"....and then looked and one of my stops disappeared(it was gone)....

quite interesting....I replaced it in time....

hmmmm....

I stepped away from the computer and upon returning saw this message....
Quick question, nvr touch MT4 before, can MT4 trade from charts ?

I want ask you how could I make my first deposit? is it other way to make the transfer except with wire transfer?

I am not familiar with mbt platform entry order is it some instruction for make a order with mbt platform?

Deposits can be made only after you have submitted an application for a new account and it has been approved. You have the choice of sending funds via check or wire, but wire certainly is the most efficient form of deposit.

Just a reminder for everyone:

Today, probably around 12 pm EST, the online application for MetaTrader will be open once again for new applications and should remain open for about 48 hours.

There are a couple of things that you need to know if you are going to fill out the application while it is open.

 

  1. You will have to sign a Beta Testing Agreement before you will be allowed to fund your account and trade.
  2. You will need to fund this account within 5 business days of account approval or we will be closing the account until we are out of Beta.

Those that are Beta testing for us will receive a rate of $3 per $100,000 while in Beta testing. Also, you will be able to just continue to use that account once the Beta has ended. Please note that Nav accounts and Meta accounts are not compatible at this time, so if you presently have a Nav account, you are going to have to open a separate account for MetaTrader. You can move money between Nav and Meta accounts same day with one form.

Finally, if you plan to run EAs in this account, please be sure that you have read about the differences between deal desk MetaTrader and ECN MetaTrader here:

To open a live account, visit MT4 Application and select "Open an Individual Account".

What will be the minimum trade size I can place?
0.1 lot or 1000 currency units.

When opening account even option 10 000 units is not available.
Minimum 100 000$ one full lot?
1 lot = 10,000 / 0.10 = 1,000

Sign up site for MT4 beta live clearly states 100 000 units and option 10 000 units is avaible only for navigator.

Wrong. All MB Trading accounts are set up so 1 = 10,000.
So go on MBT MT4 sign up website and check before you post something.

I want to sign up right now, and when i choose MT4 platform the only available unit size in sign up form is 100.000 .

All of our accounts are 1 = 10,000. The app for Metatrader is only open briefly and the field you are looking at will be corrected when we open the product out of Beta. Just as a note, the app will be closing again shortly.
Hi all,

Just wanted to let everyone know that effective in the next day or so, in the DEMO environment for Navigator, midnight maintenance has been moved. It will no longer be at midnight EST but will match off with settlement/rollover at 5 pm EST. We expect that in 2-3 weeks, the same will be true for LIVE Nav accounts. In other words, the dreaded midnight shutdown is about to go away forever.

It already does not exist for MetaTrader DEMO and LIVE accounts.

5 pm EST rollover will never go away. Let me explain.

All banks that communicate electronically for forex trading shut down for about 5 minutes at 5 pm EST. It is considered forex “end of day” and all trades are settled. There has to be a pause in trading for that to occur. The only way around this is to use a deal desk broker (i.e. if your broker doesn’t halt trading for a few minutes at 5 pm EST, they are a desk no matter what they say). Then, all of the banks reconnect.

The midnight maintenance shutdown was based on our Navigator system back when we were stocks and futures and options only. It occurred at midnight since no trading was going on, but it continued after we added forex years ago. At this time, everything is backed up and cleared out for the new day. We have now shifted this for forex to 5 pm EST so both settlement and maintenance occur in the same window because the rollover gap will never go away. So the system will go down to capture end of day, and as Nav comes back up, the ECN will be reconnecting to all of the banks.
