And I heard somewhere that rumors have started about possible rate hike from the Fed. That is what must have caused this run for the green.

Thank you for providing me with this platform to vent my spleen.

As the pound founders as it should under the weight of sheer fraudulent incompetence of our government a labour politician (I've already forgotten her name) has the gall to say the BNP (British National Party) winning two seats in European Parliament has damaged Britain's reputation.

Damaged Britain's reputation? I suppose most of our elected leaders found guilty of theft - fiddling their expenses - hasn't, then?

It seems as though only the BNP has a clean record so who can blame the dolts who bothered to vote for them?

The danger here is that they are Nazis. This is what can happen if democracy fails. Let's not let it happen again...

June 8 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks rose, erasing the Dow Jones Industrial Average’s decline for 2009, after Nobel Prize- winning economist Paul Krugman said the economy will probably emerge from recession by September. Oil rebounded in electronic trading and yields on Treasury two-year notes extended gains.

BERN, Switzerland -- The Swiss government said Tuesday it is holding talks with several potential buyers of its 6 billion-franc ($5.5 billion) stake in UBS
The six-month lockup period for its mandatory convertible notes expired Tuesday, leaving the government free to liquidate all or part of its stake in the country's biggest bank, the finance ministry said in a statement.
The finance ministry restated the government's intention to keep its financial involvement in UBS to a limited period. -AP

(Reuters) - The Treasury Department will allow 10 banks to pay back Troubled Asset Relief Program funds, Bloomberg said, citing people familiar with the matter.
JPMorgan Chase & Co is one of the banks, the news agency said, citing an anonymous source.






Banks seem to be swimming in less shark infested, more shallow water due to higher profits due to tax cuts allowed from their losses.
Sooo, they lost billions and billions and billions which allows them to receive a tax cut, free handouts from the fed and all of the sudden POOF! Profits

Here they come again with this "stress test" already-proven bullshit.

So they pretend they are working hard to solve this crisis and the crisis go on solving itself, like it would do in the first place, Bernanke or not, Obama or not, Geithner or not.

They should have come in 2008 saying "lookit, it's a recession, live with it" and that would be it.

They would be sitting in their fancy offices watching TV all day while the crisis was solving itself.

And they would spare themselves from this embarassement and name callings.
