I'm thinking someone got thrown off FF for marketing and they're trying to take revenge.

I think I might have had the virus, I was surfing and all of a sudden my CPU usage was 100% and my comp froze for a minute. I downloaded the microsoft patch so hopefully that did it.

I used the microsoft patch. If I already had the virus would that get rid of it?

i dont think so. i think you need to get rid of it via antivirus software. the patch will only block it from the future. correct me if im wrong here...

Well I went ahead and reported this "RBusiness Network" to http://www.missingkids.com/cybertip/ as some of their websites had some truly disturbing child abuse related content.

Not sure if posting here is correct but I tried finding a thread about posting problems to no avail. Please just move this thread if I had posted in Siberia when I should've posted in so and so. Or if there is another thread existing would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction?

I tried clicking the 'manage attachments' on the posting screen and i chose my file but it would always fail to upload. I double checked the file size and picture size and they are all within limits. Scratching my head on this one, maybe someone has experienced similar problems?

Yes I noticed I am having the same difficulty... could be a safe gaurd until FF gets this virus thing past.

we had uploads blocked as a safegaurd against the attacks, should be fixed momentarily....

I suspect that my PC may ahve picked up a virus from the recent attack on this site.

I have Zonealarm Pro firewall and anti-virus software installed, along with Trojanhunter and Spybot, but suspect that something has sneaked through. The symptoms include rapidly increasing instability, lock-ups, the system going into mega slow-mo mode and Zonealarm no longer updating its anti-spyware and stalling part-way through a system scan.

There was a link on the site earlier this week to contact Forex Factory for advise on how to combat the virus. However I can't find that link now.

Does anyone know who I can contact, or how I can solve the problem?

I'm frustrated as hell right now. I'm still getting the compiling error in MT4. When I uninstall/reinstall or 'fix' MT4, McAfee picks these files up as trojans and can't delete them. Avast does not pick these up as viruses. Are these files safe and should I just disable McAfee and let these files run?

MetaLang.exe is a compiler file and isn't a virus. Make an exception in McAfee to just ignore this file.

Those files are the quarantined files done by your McAfee on previous scans. They're the same as original MetaLang.exe, McAfee only renamed it and added .Vir, .Vir.0, etc and moved it to the quarantine folder. Just delete those files imo.
