Simpletrader made a great point about showing a chart then in hindsight describing the patterns/set-ups etc. and how you can trade it. I've seen many "gurus" do this and newbies in awe at all the set-ups and resultant pips could be made. Try it in real time and it becomes a different story.

Pretty disappointing. I was hoping to learn something about trading from thewasp. You started this thread with promise and then left it empty. I don't see why you have to avoid forums altogether. You don't have to engage in conversation if that is what bothers you. Just charts with some commentary can teach.

Thanks again to KillPhil, who at least gave something helpful. Perhaps you can start your own thread KillPhil and continue the teaching?

It's in my signature. Just trying to complete the documents over the weekend. The charts take a while to draw on.

To be fair on the wasp, he did say more than 10 people post charts then he would contribute...

Yeah you're right KillPhil, he doesn't have to teach, and I shouldn't be too hard on him. I just got the impression that he might really be someone worth listening to, so that is why I am disappointed. Looking forward to your thread once charts are up. I hope you won't mind some questions...I always have plenty

Questions help me question myself. So they are always appreciated . My charts are down tonight so can't be arsed trading, leave it til the morning. Hope your trades are well. I'm still getting the thread prepared (bear in mind that you will probably have read the stuff before).

This, this, this. I see a hundred threads where people cherry-pick their charts to show their system/method/idea in a good light, but it's always in the past. I don't understand how this can help you when the price could totally blow past your lines, fibs, etc? Sure it looked nice when you could see where the price had gone, but what about where it's going to go next?

Note - this is a serious question...I'm still a newbie to forex and still learning
