Example

Settings
Traditional trailing stop: 25 pips
Advance trailing stop: Trigger at 80 pips and trail by 30% of floating pips.

With the above setting, EA will start to trail price once more than 25 pips. It will be trailing 25 pips behind price until you hit 80 pips. After that if price moves further in your favor, trailing will be calculated based on a percentage of floating pips on the fly. If you have 100 floating pips, EA will trail behind price by 30 pips. If price move further and you have 200 pips, EA will trail at 60 pips behind price.

Principle behind this is similar to how you manage a trade as your profit accumulates, you manage by moving up to higher TF and widening the buffer zone for price movements to capture more pips.

Could you post the bottom 3 indicators on your screen shot? (see below) I look to the longer time frames and these neat indi's would save time.

Your very welcome. I do not trade the H1 by itself, as you say. I prefer a little more action but not as much offered up by the M5, so I use the M15 primarily for day-trading. I believe you could solely trade the H1; it's about trading style, personality, schedule as well as R/R and M/M. Whatever works best for you.

I'll probably make some enemies by saying this; you live in one of my most favorite places in the whole world! I love Sydney; been there many times, have friends there and drink James Squires Amber Ale when I'm in town. Remember....I traded in my surf board for a keyboard. Why? Only Scott Jones knows how old I am................lol!!!

Here was a nice trade with two entries if the first position was closed...

Considerations:

Trade 1

1.) Bullish Divergence and rejection at .50 and 50% fib
2.) 2,4,6 MTF rules...

Trade 2

1.) Rejection at 50% fib
2.) Trix T/L break
3.) 6 + MTF Lights

Just wanted to get some of y'alls opinion on something that I have observed about TRIX T/Ls...

If I am stating something that some trading Guru stated decades ago...control your sarcasm and, please, politely let me know that...


I've noticed that when there is a clear TRIX T/L that does not coincide or is not reflected in the PA, the break of the TRIX T/L leads to strong movement....

I have not documented this although I will start to keep screen shots....

Take a look at the 5 min chart where the TRIX was displaying a clear T/L with precise touches (min of 3 touches) and there was no coinciding PA T/L...when the TRIX broke the T/L there was a 30 pip 1 min trade...

I'm not sure where I am going with this....I just wanted to know if anyone else noticed anything like this....I usually look for these kind of TRIX T/L break trades...

Also, to Jeff, can the three points on the trix touch be matched up with the points on the PA to get the pitchfork points...

The pitchfork should have high, low, high or a low, high, low points for plotting?

Hi B:

Not sure if this is what you are looking for. To me, I don't need the three points being touch by the Trix be matched up with the Andrew's Lines. I draw the Trix trend line and Andrew's Line separately. And in many occasion, the Andrew's Lines break out is the true break out; which is another way of saying, it filters out the early entry (and sometimes can be premature entries) of the Trix. Please take a look at several of these Gifs. The Andrew's Lines and the Trix do give out signals simultaneously at times; and at times, one if earlier than the other. But I tend to go with the break of the Andrew's Lines as the true break out. Hope I have answered your queries. Take care.

For the last Gif, 5-min Trix has potential negative divergence, I won't short until this Catalin Andrew's Lines is nullified.

Edit: Trash 4 chart: shows Trix in line with "Long Term" Violet Red down sloping Andrew;s Line. In this time frame, it's 'long term', in fact, they aren't.

On higher TF's when you get divergence at specific locations, it is very powerful. I have watched in 4H / Daily EJ atleast 3 times in last 1 month and each move is worth atleast 400 pips.

The only problem is, you need tons of patience for those setups to happen.

I have noticed this on the H1. It is uncanny how, many times, when Trix breaks the TL, and PA looks like it is moving the other direction, it eventually comes around to "obey" the Trix. It is a part of what I am observing in my ongoing formulation of a H1 trading plan.
